I really didn't even look for one as I rarely run without something on the 3PH, but will look today and get back with you.

When are you scheduled to get yours? I sure know it's hard waiting.

Anytime now. The dealer has been really busy.

Hey allright Triple R, hope you get what you want. I just love the swivel seat on my L3540, makes it so much easier when the need to look back arises.

In spite of the economy, tractor dealers seem really busy, our dealer sold another L5740 HSTC just after we bought ours and I never even got together with him person as he was so busy looking at trade ins. We bought my trade in from him, so he didn't even come look at it. I imagine it's sold by now. A few weeks ago before we decided to buy, their back lot was full of crated units and when we bought ours, most were gone.

How are you equiping yours?

Good to know, I think I will really like the swivel seat once I get the chance to get use to it very much. I know with the 5030, I was worn out and had a sore neck after a long day of mowing even by using the mirrors a lot. I am trying to adapt to the L40 HST pedal as it/s a lot different than my old one.

I wonder who is buying the tractors? I don't see very many selling around here but I base that on what I see while driving by and that's not a good way to gauge sales. I do know of several people who gave up trying to earn more and sold off everything to move to somewhere cheaper to live the "simple life". One where they have a smaller house, lots of land, and a tractor to farm with. Of course their idea of farming is having a big garden and some food plots. For how much tractors cost I can't see very many younger people buying them but I could be wrong.

Anyway I hope you've got some more time in the seat. It takes some time to get use tot he HST+ and find out what features work well for you and what ones don't. I adjusted the autothrottle cable so it doesn't rev the motor up as quickly but I also use it when I'm just driving, not working.

Beats me, I sure couldn't afford one when I was younger, we bought well used tractors in the $2000 to $3000 range that my brother fixed up. We still have them and the newest tractor my brother owns is an 86 MF. He likes working on stuff to see how long he can keep it running. I was in my mid 50's when I bought my first new "tractor" a BX2200.

I think I may need to adjust the ATA too as it seems to rev pretty high for the ground speed.

This guy has 30 or 40 tractors in crates probably. I am getting a radio, rear wiper, rear work lights, r4 tires, 3rd function, 2 remotes (1 with float), and a t-n-t.

That really sounds like a good setup; can't wait to see how you like it.

There's a member who posted in the general buying section that he was looking into getting a 4240 but found a new left over cabbed 5740. It must be different all over the states. Some places are selling well while others not so.

I missed that one. I'm sure it's different everywhere. When I bought my first Kubota in 2003, I was the lone orange in a sea of green. My neighbor had a New Holland, but everyone else had green. I am seeing the occasional /kubota, but I am surrounded by big farms and they farm with green and get the same in CUT and utility. North where there are more small landowners and hobbyists Kubotas are pretty common and the dealers have good turnover.
