Buying a new L5740 HSTC?

This may be true, but it's unlikely that either of these options are better implemented than what 4shorts has done! I understand everyone isn't as mechanically inclined, but I think that's all the more reason for Paul to start marketing his product

I'm all for that. My brother retires next spring and we have a pretty well equipped shop on the farm where he lives and we may very well do the Grammar seat like 4Shorts, I can live without the stack; one of my sons bent the heck out of the one on our Case CX80, but so far the one on the 8540 is OK.

I don't think soot will get on the loader on these tractors. Wouldn't a vertical exhaust cut down on visibility?

Just a post script, but I got a call from the man buying my old L5030; didn't sit long. His wife talked him into getting it for her to use moving round bales around and doing some other stuff around the farm. He has a bigger tractor he uses, but recently had back surgery and wants it to help him out; both will be using it. Good used tractors don't last long around here. He doesn't even live around here, they were passing through when his wife saw it.

You really don't notice it working. Most cab models have the exhaust tucked right next to the right front pole of the cab so you don't notice it at all. I like the way that Paul put his next to the cab, so you can't see it. The (3/4)x20 Deere's are run up front the left center of the hood. Still not bad, but could be better. It's really a toss up for me. Not a big deal one way or another, I'll take it how it comes. I really don't like the ones that go above the ROPS though, makes for having to watch out for it more. The 5410's is about 3" lower, so not a big deal. Haven't hit anything . . . yet

I have used my tractor at night and with the work lights on you can see smoke blowing up, so I guess a advantage to have the vertical exhaust is it keeps smoke off of the windshield.

The Grand L series are great tractors and I have been looking at one for awhile now......but I was hoping that Kubota would at least offer 2 options that I'd like to see for the Grand L.

1. An Air Ride seat option.

2. Veritical Exhaust option.

I know Deere has both these options on the 3000, 4000 series tractors and would like to see Kubota offer these also.

Stu right now you can't get those options on the Grand L's but it can be done. I've spent many hours designing and testing this kind of thing on the 5740 and I'm happy with it so far

I haven't heard that myself but I know for a fact that a high ranking member from Kubota Japan who was visiting Kubota Canada took photos of my 5740 back to Japan with him

I really like the idea of an air ride seat, but also really like the swivel seat on mine and use it far more than anticipated; decisions, decisions...
