Here's the easy way: Just buy a 2" PVC slip coupler at any hardware store, and glue a 6" length of 2" PVC pipe into one end. Then heat the open end of the coupler up with a propane torch until it is pliable. At that point press it down over the end of your new oil filter about 1" or so and let it cool. It will mold itself to the octagon (or whatever it is) shape and becoem a custom made oil filter socket. Drill a hole in the opposite end of the pipe to insert a metal bar for leverage.
