I just got my B3030 to replace the BX2200 that i've had for five years. I mow five acres and use all the smaller implements (tiller, BB. SB, post hole digger, spreader, scoop etc) with great success. I only got the new one cause its just to hot to spend all day in the sun down here.

1*Do you now wish you purchased a new/used larger tractor?
2*Only thing I might have done differently would have been purchasing a separate garden tractor instead of the MMM 60 inch.
3*Reason being is because it seems a pain to take off when wanting to do some heavy work or mowing the lawn.
4* I regret that I didn't get the tires foam filled when I bought it. (9 flats and 2 replacement rears in 220 hours)
5*Sometimes I wish it was bigger.... but then it would not do all of the smaller things that the BX can get into
6* I was able to get both turfs and bar treads inexpensively. The extra set only cost me $300 for all four tires and wheels (loaded) from the dealer.
6*You can mow with the loader and hoe on
7*Too difficult to drive hoe forward when digging due to seat switch (I've invented a solution - to be posted later)
8*Need to put in neutral to start the tractor
9* A large part of wanting to keep it is to not be without a backhoe. I don't use it often, but nothing like having one when you need it
10* the only regret I can think of is that I should have went with turfs.
11*I use a 54" mower as there are some areas with trees that anything larger would cause problems getting through.
12*60" mower is too big for some areas

1* No; but I would take a kubota b 2410 to go along with my bx23.
2*I considered that but glad I got the 60'' mmm as I find i need it and the MTD lawn tractor with the 48 '' mower deck both.
3*I solved this by always keeping the FEL BH and 60'' MMM attached to the BX 23. I Have never removed any of them. Playing musical implements just don't appeal to me.
4*No flats in 531 hours. Don't want anything to do with filled tires .
5*I have too but being thankful it isn't bigger has it out numbered .
6* The only way I've ever done it.
7*I just move it from the BH mode. What did you invent?
8*This is my biggest gripe about the BX 23.IT's dangerous and just plain stupid to have to do that to start it!
9*The BH comes in hand for more than just digging .
10* Nothing wrong with AGs - wouldn't have anything else.
11*I prefer the 60 '' mmm as the PowerCraft with the 46'' deck takes care of the smaller tighter areas.
12*That's what my 46'' MTD lawn tractor is for.

Wow, you mow with ag tires, FEL and backhoe! You're lawn is incredibly compacted if you don't leave any traces. I hope you do it in 4WD /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

As I think about it: there's only turf and bars available for the BX series. Where did you find ag tires?

<<I am seriously considering buying a BX24. For those who have purchased a BX22/23/24...Do you now wish you purchased a new/used larger tractor? Any regrets?>>

Walt, I bought my BX 23 new about a year and 1/2 ago and have 270 hours on it. Right now I take care of about 10 acres with about 3 of them grass. I don't have any regrets nor have I had a bit of trouble with it. I wouldn't want anything bigger because of the trees I mow around. I do have the 60" deck with the Kubota vac. I remove the FEL and the backhoe when I'm mowing. I've moved tons and tons of dirt and dug out huge stumps. It just takes time but I find it very relaxing. One time while trying to remove a old oak stump so I didn't have to mow around it I un-earthed a egg shaped rock the size of the BX. I just dug around it, made the hole deeper that the rock and rolled it on it's side. After backfilling, nice smooth yard. It seems to use about 1/2 gallon per hour at PTO speed and even less at the lower RPM I use when digging or dragging the rake, still another reason I wouldn't want a bigger unit. It's light enough that it doesn't dig up the yard mowing. It has limits, but for my uses it's the perfect size. Good luck
Richard

Many people use the term "bar" and "ag" tires interchangably
And actually the rumor is you can use the R4 tires and rims from the BX24 on the BX23 so that gives you three tire options.
