Only problem I've heard on useing the R4's on the BX23/BX2230 is that the fronts might rub the 60" MMM when cut sharply but they will bolt right on up.

I wouldn't think about mowing my lawn w/the FEL & BH mounted. It only takes about 15 minutes to dismount both onto dollies and my BX23 gives a lawn mower type cut when it's lighter by 1k lbs....... Besides, I have way too many trees and other obstacles to mow around. I couldn't get into some of those tight spots carrying all that extra size & weight around un-necessarily....

Ok...Ok...you guys have pushed me over the edge...put the last nail in the coffin. I gave the dealer the go ahead to prepare a BX24 for delivery this Saturday. Thanks for helping spend my money /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif BX24, MD taxes...5%, industrial R4 filled tires, delivered...Total:$15,532 . I think it is a fair deal. Keep this post going for future buyers...it has been very helpful.

Had my BX24 for about a month now and love it. My only gripes are:

a) KUBOTA stickers on the hood started peeling off after 1st hour of use. And the tractor has never been wet and is always garaged.
b) Leaking hydraulic hose on FL after first hour of use. It's a slow leak, but it's messy and shouldn't happen. Going to have it fixed at 50 hrs service.
c) Front axle needed a quart of oil when I checked it after 10 hours of use. No leaks which makes me believe it was delivered that way.

For my needs this is the perfect size tractor. I would make the same purchase if I had to make the decision all over again.

SCORE 8.5 out of 10.

Given its new status, I'd think the dealer would be willing to come out and fix it. Worst case scenario, they should pick it up, bring it in fix it right away, and then get it back to you in a hurry, all for free.
