Backhoe BX2230 BX2200 Woods backhoe install

Checked out the seat and bracket installion and ROPS clearance. I'm 5'9" tall and cleared the top by 3". It measured 39" from the bottom back inside corner of the seat to the bar. Not going to be a problem for me. When the seat is facing the rear it still swivels. May be good for looking around? There is a bracket that holds the seat belt back away from the seat so it doesn't rub as you rotate it. Something I noticed that interfered with the seat before, just when flipping it up. A rubber piece of trim goes around the flag mount on the ROPS so you knee doesn't bag it. And yes, follow the torque specs. for proper operation of all fasteners. There were a few fasteners that needed to be removed that were not listed and a couple that didn't match the thread pitch on the tractor's nuts. I'll fill out the factory survey when completed so these can be corrected (minor issues so far)

You have to give them credit, just about every piece of steel with the BH install is over engineered and pretty heavy duty. I can't image any of the parts ever breaking. The taller ROPS of the BX23 is the only item I'd like to see on the BX2230.

On to the hydraulics block under the right side rear fender to remove the small 2"x2" block on the tranny. Remove the top 45 connector and replace it with a new 90. Reinstall the block. Run the 2 new hoses up to the newly installed bulk head connectors under the seat.

Make sure the hoses are as tight to the tranny as possible to clear the tire. Also make sure the PTO selector rod clears. Aim the hoses on the bulk head down to clear the seat. I think I'll be lowering the new bulk head so there is more clearance.

Rear hyd. outlet looks good and connects together when not in use. I'm sure you could use it for other implements as well.

Next install the 2 back hoe brackets on the backhoe, the outriggers and bucket. Be careful when working on the back hoe on the pallet. I secured it from above with a hoist to stabilize it so it didn't tip over when installing the bucket.

Hook up the lines and raise it up with the outriggers and bucket... then fully tighten the backhoe mounting brackets so every thing stays lined up.

TA DA... there it is. Looks factory to me and no sideways slamming of the hoe because the hyraulics slow the swing down when it reaches full travel /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Sure is pretty..... When do we get the performance report? How long did it take to install the backhoe and the loader? Times for each, please. What size bucket did you get??? A job well done... You will enjoy the fruits of your effort for many years to come.. Junk..
