I think the "factory thumb" is made for kubota, not by kubota. Either way, I got one on order
Yes, well, it certainly looks Kubota (exactly the right colour of orange, and it fits perfectly). Sorry, no photos just yet, but it is a mechanical thumb which you can manually set at one of three different working positions, or a fourth position which is basically right up against the dipperstick, out of the way. It is also quite heavy and thick, and cost about %00 or so Canadian with the taxes.
Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to use it just yet, but will report later when I do. (The local hydro company will be trashing a few trees on my lot, so I may get a chance to move the cuttings around with my new thumb.)
