That's about the kind I think I would like, with a 3-pt lift. Locating one to purchase would not be a problem for me. All the equipment dealerships around here have them. There are two such dealerships I drive past most every day. I just want to see how some of the TBNers are using theirs for mine and other's inspiration!;)

I had found these about a year ago at Country Manufacturing. They are about what I would want but I feel like I may be able to get the same cheaper locally.

I used a cheap boom pole and some chain to lift mine.

I got mine from TS
I found this one in a weed patch on the upper rear corner of our property back in 1971.
We moved here in 1966 and 71 is when I had the entire 2.33 acres completely graded off.
It had been laying there all the time but w'd never seen it.
Hard telling how many years it had laid there before we bought the property in 1966.
After the grading was done I hooked it up to the Bolens tractor and drug it all over the whole 2.33 to smooth it all out.
Got the job done and put it away in the building you see it in now.
It's never been out of this garage since I put it in there 37 years ago.
This building was built 37 years ago also.
The post for it were made by nailing 2 untreated used two by fours together.
They were set 12 to 14 inches in the ground and the holes were filled in around them with plain old dirt.
There is no cement in the holes.
The walls have 1x4 purlins around them all out of used lumber.
I had bought a new 71 chevy chevelle convertible and dad helped me build this to keep the convertible in out of the weather.
This building is still strong solid and firm today 37 years later.

if this is what you are talking about. I just bought 1 like this from a local supplier I intend to use it on the B.B field next year

Russian wild boar sometimes get out of a local game preserve, and tear up my yard a bit. I use my chain harrow to repair their damage without harming the yard much.

Mine is an 8 bar 15 footer. :D

Nice! I would have liked the 12ft. unit but some of my gates are only 12ft. while others are 14 and 16ft. I had to go with 7.5ft. :(

Could you have made wider gates? Takes a lot longer to harrow with a 7.5 footer. But then I guess that you can look at that 2 ways, takes longer,:( but you get more seat time. :D

Nah, I have too many to change over. Most of them were there when we moved in. I only have about 4 acres to use it on. Plus I use if for the driveway as well. If ever needed a larger one to prep seed beds or for large acreage I'd be looking at one of his towed models.

I don't want one very wide. About 8-ft. Like I said, I would like to use it to carve some trails. If I were going wide I would go as wide as feasible. But I would have to get one that is foldable since I too have 12-ft gates. I've seen some really wide chain drag harrows that have a 3-pt lift but are hydraulically foldable, like a batwing! That way you could get it through your gates.:D

Boy, I would love to have one of his towed models, but for my use, pretty hard to justify the cost.:(
