Not sure how exactly everything is working but the cell phone I turned into a network camera can be seen online through an account I created at ivideon. Previously I was just seeing it on the local network but it looks like I am now able to view it online through this free account. They let you connect 2 cameras for free. Live video has about a 30 second delay. Haven't delved into how to get it to email on motion detection but I am hoping to get there.

That's because your phone is initiating an outbound connection to ivideon. In this case the other people are trying to connect in from the outside to their Mobley and it's not working because of the 2 private networks that they're talking about.

The phone I am using is an inactive spare phone I have set in airplane mode. I installed IP Webcam to turn it into a network camera. The IP Webcam app suggested I create an account at the ivideon site to stream the video online. According to that account you can connect any type of ip camera through them. I haven't left the network camera phone on that long to test when I leave the network area but it looks like the app can send to the web site from my home network. I have to log into the ivideon site with my user name and password to see what it is sending. Looks like it is taking snapshots by sensing audio events and can be set to notify me through email every 15 minutes or longer. When I log in I can view live video but it has a delay.

I found the July 21st date on this thread and the July 17th date on this video: UNLIMITED DATA $20 a month AT&T PLAN ABOUT TO END JULY 17TH! (2017) - YouTube

Where did you read this? I know the terms say they may change or end the plan at any time but I hope it lasts for a while. I have been changing all my emails off my CL account in preparation for terminating service with them.

My account is at 26 gigs and remains steady. It's not the blazing fast speeds some have reported but it's at least double the speed of my DSL on it's worst day. On a cloudy day I see speeds upwards of 14 Mbps down for some reason. I guess the clouds hold the signal down so I get a better shot at it.

I do think that router is restricting the upload speed. Has anyone else noticed that?

Source of video?

While I can't speak to its total veracity, I just checked and the Mobley is currently available AT&T online with $20 month plan contrary to his assertion.

Couldn't get the whole video to play, but suspect it is someone looking for suckers to buy whatever he is selling. JMHO of course.

FYI having repeated problems of data connection just going away. I think....AT&T's management of hitting the 22GB limit is flawed, and what they are doing is just shutting it off, not slowing the speed. They haven't said that is the problem and probably will not owe up to that. Yesterday afternoon it went off the air, this morning after chat and a phone call....a manager is getting involved. We'll see.

I also have a Mobley that randomly slows down or shuts down with the signal light green.

We are about 9 miles from the tower and inside get 3 bars max. But the fastest speeds are with one or two bars of signal strength. It is very position sensitive and gets fastest speeds with the label side down.

Moving it a quarter inch can double the download speed. There are places I can put it that cause the upload speed to be faster than the download speed.

Never have been close to 22GB of usage. Yesterday was real slow, around 1Mbps down on fast.com and no connection this morning.

Did a power reset, fast.com showed 4.5 and ran speedtest on the -111 two bars signal:

Well said! I think the digital age has spoiled us into thinking that if we get any signal it's always good one, that everything should run WFO if we're connected at all. Higher frequencies means shorter wavelengths and smaller tweaks to antenna positioning for best reception.

There will be more 'dead spots' as signals bounce/scatter off of buildings, etc. and self-cancel. That the guys with outside antennas are getting such good performance says some things haven't changed from the 'old days' of strictly analog broadcasting. ;)

We have to remember that a Mobley has to have a good signal path to towers and good reach within it's 'network'. We're also open to much more RFI (noise) for our devices to sort through. Those of us closer to towns may have much more of that to deal with.

My problem isn't signal strength off/on. When the connection is gone it's gone and the only way it's coming back is to call at&t.

That was the problem we had with our one and only phone we tried that was on ATT service. It was a Virgin phone. We had a Virgin phone before that was on Verizon so we assumed all their smart phones were on that provider. The ATT phone would cease to be usable except for calls every night and we had only had it a few days. The data would just flat shut down. I could restart the phone and it would come back for a minute then off it would go again. It went back and we paid an extra $50 for the same phone on the Verizon prepaid plan for the same cost. Both mine and the wife's phone are on the Verizon prepaid for $45 plus sales tax per month. We get 2 or 3 gigs of data and unlimited talk and text. It has a handful of dead spots in our area but stays mostly connected. Data wise on our phones we rarely use a full gig.

That is one reason I was reluctant to try this Mobley thing but mine has been running without fail for a while now. I am on day 14 and at 34 GB. Surprisingly the Mobley has a faster download speed than my cell phone does at my house.
