In all honesty, the only real step up in build quality I think is to get the equivalent Kubota which is a 4760 with cab and 1055 loader...and that is not $10k more...it's nearly double the price.
Any of the Japanese makes will be a step up in Quality. Massey 2850-60M, or Yanmar YT series will blow the TYM out the water in quality and quality control. Both will cost more. I’d trust a non Japanese Massey like the 2850E (still Japanese engine, but manufacturing outside of Japan) more than a TYM and AGCO will have parts. Kubota and John Deere R series are great but pricey.

Of the Korean brands, I think Kioti does the best job stocking parts, although LS through CNH has a good supply of US parts (would have to cross shop but doable). LS seems to realize that QC and parts are very important and are making strides. TYM’s big issue right now is quality control and part supplying. Both can be fixed, but they seem to be secondary priorities for the company right now. Tractors cost more when companies have to stock parts for them.

I get why you want the kukje motor for the non ecm mechanical motor. Yes they are based on old cummins engine designs , but they arnt a cummins. They seem to have an issue with cracking heads and trying to find a head is almost impossible. People have tride to have there heads repaired with so so results. I decided to go with a yanmar equiped tractor. Yes the ecm could fail, but atleast i know i can buy a new one with out issue. As there are so many of them put into so much equipment

Stopped by the local Kubuta dealer over lunch, they had a 6000 and 4060 both with cabs sitting side by side. That 6000 is a beast! the 4060 had a 1055 and the 6000 a 1065 loader...there was a HUGE difference in the amount of metal in the 1065...way more than the 22 lb difference in lifting the specs would indicate.

the 6000 had dual remotes on the back, the 4060 had nothing...looks to me like the 4060 isn't all that elite looking at the amount of metal on the 3 point arms etc...scared to see how light the LX must be built.

neither had 3rd function integrated into the joystick. Neither had raise/lower accessible from the rear of the tractor.

The Korean tractors are just like their cars. Loaded with accessories. Japanese cars and tractors tend to not have all the bells and whistles, but what they do have tends to work well, and are very well engineered.

Take Toyota Tacomas for example. Most other makes of similar sized pickup have more features, but the Tacos work well and last a long tome. Similar to Kubotas. The Japanese makes tend to be way more conservative in their approach.

Yeah I misstated when I said the MX has the 1055 loader. I looked at mine, it’s the 1065.

Good comments...yes Caleb, it came with 7 point something nearly 8 hours on it "new". I do not believe it was the same one I picked out in person because that one was sold before we committed to buy...but we did contract for a new one and they maintain to this day that the one we received was new but had those hours on it from running on a dyno to check the HP. I don't really believe that...I truly have no idea where 8 hours came from. All the others I have looked at since have 1-4 on them.

Mine had 3 hours on it when it was delivered. Sounds like as others have said , it was a demo machine.
