Bob, I agree! Maybe Kubota will come up with an improvement "kit" for the "Sticking Hydro pedal". I have a Kubota ZD21 tractor so I can moan on the Kubota side as well! I have had ZERO problems with my Kubota, It's a tank! Back to the Kioti side!

I have fewer hours on my July 03 BX2200. So far, the pedal has not stuck and the air cleaner bracket has not broken.

I don't know if it's a year thing or not.

Junk you know that I don't have a Kubota but you may recall that New Holland had a similar HST problem and our tractor was one that was affected. The dang thing just refused to stop when you took your foot off the HST pedal and it was a real cause for concern.

I do have a real simple solution for your problem though. Tie a short length of nylon rope to your draw-bar and attach it to a stout anchor. When you need to stop throw that anchor over your shoulder. It's relatively cheap and really effective. Now I know your a rookie here on this forum but there is a zerk on the pedal which requires grease in it?



Not all BX's have the zerk on them. The early units, mine is a 2000, the first year offered, does NOT have the zerk on it. If I remember correctly, the zerk started showing up on the 2002 models.

I haven't really had a problem with mine yet although it is a little slower than it was when new. I have a size 14 foot so my foot covers almost all of the pedal anyway. I will probably have to get this changed over sometime in the future though.

just wondering if the last recall on the rops was part of a class action suit? my 23 is almost a year old with 90 hours on it and have not experienced these problems as of yet but the only way i heard about the rops recall was on tbn. no one had complained about that but they had a recall. just my 2$

I'm not having either of those problems on my bx-22. I have over 200 hours on it, and the pedal does not stick, and the air cleaner bracket has never broken. And trust me, I beat mine pretty hard.

The only problem I had/have, is that cheap-A** plastic fan that cools the transmission. Living in the woods I frequently drive over small branches, and some times they flip up and hit that fan. It's now missing 3 blades, so I better order one quick before the tranny overheats. They should have put a shield around that thing or made it of a tough metal that would chop up anything that hits it!

yes, a skidplate would be nice, but only if it goes on and
off fairly quickly so I can attach the MMMower.

Do a search for "skid Plates" here. Most mount via the MMM mountings, so that would be easy to swap.
