Looks like we spent similar weekends, in different parts of the country.
Do you have quick attach on your fel?
When you get my age, you look for ways not to look behind you all day. If you could adapt your treegetter to work on both front and back of your tractor, you would have the best of both worlds. Ease of use and could get closer to fences, ETC. Then put it on the rear for those hard jobs.
Attachment shows one load of my saturday afternoon work going to the burn pile.

I don't know if it's the picture, but watch those power lines!

Nice job on the tree getter.

Neal, what are all those green things coming off the tree trunks? All mine are bare wood. No quick attach on my F.E.L. I can sure see how it would be easier up there. It's not the backing up that bugs me, it's the on the tractor, off the tractor, on the tractor, off the tractor...

Just curious. What model is the tractor in the left rear of this picture?

Nice looking rigs.

I like your treegetter but what really caught my eye was the brushguard. Did you build it or is it factory? I do a lot of bush hogging in tall brush and really need to build one for my tractor. Is there any chance you could take a close up picture and post it?

I just love the design on this thing. I'm determined to make one myself. Could you share some closer pictures showing how the "teeth" are mounted and of the bracket that attaches to the loader. Thanks!

Don't know what the weather is like in NH but I have already mowed the lawn twice here & it needs it again.

Yes, It is really nice, especially at my age, to only get off the tractor when you want to take a picture to show off.

Neal, Is that a L4610 with loader or what? Nice tree getter, I'm jealous. What do you think of using the Kubota pallet forks assembly on the FEL quick connect with the forks removed and replaced with a tree getter tooth bar? Thought it might be less worrk for me to make the tooth bar to connect to the palet fork frame/backstop thingy. If I could get another shorter set of blades I could just bridge across them with a tree getter toothed blade maybe. Whatcha think?

Yet another task that is made easier by HST. Had to say that, just been told that HST makes it harder to spray a fiield with even coverage. I thought I could just put the pedal to the metal in low range (maybe medium) and regulate tractor speed with the throttle.

Again, nice job.

Thanks,
TraderMark said he made his teeth out of 3x1/2 flat bar. I was working off of his instructions, only I had some 10x1/2 so I cut 3 teeth in 10" material, making 2 sets per one cut. Teeth overall are 13-1/2" long. Going all way to back of tubing. Square tubing on mine was 2-1/2x1/4 but 3/16 would be fine I think. I used 2-1/2 because that is what I needed for the inside measurment of the quick attach vertical pieces. Teeth go all way to rear of square tube and cut starts maybe 1/2 inch in front of tube. I used 3x1/2 flat bar to brace the teeth on top because that is what I had. I stopped my brace about 1-1/2in from the point, but if had it to do over would run it within 1/2" of point. Make points 1/2 to 3/4 wide to give something to weld to. If your loader is like mine, be sure and drop your teeth down maybe 5" below the quick attach so you can dig down without getting the quick attach in the dirt. Don't make your top bar too high as it will hit fence or good tree behind bad tree when tilted at 45 down, going in to get the root in soft dirt.
I made my quick attach plates out of old rusted 1/4" underground steel tank, which was very difficult to cut because of the rust, so the close ups may look a little rough. Of course at my age I don't hold the torch so steady on new metal either. Even have difficult time keeping it straight sliding the torch on a piece of angle.
I used 1-1/4 drill bit & 1-3/16 pin welded in top hole. Not even sure what the Kubota pins are now. I just had this in junk pile off old air conditioners. Only use one set of bottom pins that came with my bucket and move them to whatever implement I have on.
Will show a few views now. Hope this helps you as much as others have helped me.
