Compact telehandlers

Keep in mind the cost of attachments. I'm sure, however, that no matter what type of machine, attachments for these higher HP machines are going to be fairly costly.

On my property, and for my needs, my CUT is the best tool: I'm also challenged with soft ground, so heavy machines are a problem/concern. If I had larger property (and a larger bank account;)) a telehandler I'd do. If I find I need something else to do a job I go out and rent it.

Just found a Merlo dealer within a couple of hours from here. Going to have to contact them and see how much these things run. The Merlo Multifarmer line has a 3point with PTO on the back. This may just what I was looking for. THANK YOU.

You're welcome. I will be surprised if it is available here, also check if it has an adapter to SSQA.

Apparently are available here. Importer is in SC, not to far from me. Regional Sales rep is supposed to get me a quote and some info in the next few days. They do have a SSQA adapter.

They have machines the size / power of the V417/518/519, but most of them are larger/more powerful. Their large machines are 156hp behemoths. Hoping their smallest machine doesn't cost an arm and a leg with interest on my first born child...

Thought I'd post an update. Spoke to the salesman today. He says the multifarm (110hp version) runs around $115k. That's ok, was more machine than I need anyhow, and way more than I can afford. BUT

He can also get me there 27.6 plus Compact telehandler for about $60-65k depending on options. This machine is similar to the bobcat v519 but exceeds it in most areas. - 5900# instead of 5500# lift, has 38gpm high flow hydraulics instead of standard flow 21gpm hydraulics on the bobcat 20ft lift instead of 19ft lift height. You get the picture. They are targeting the v519 and making sure that every spec is just a bit more, and undercutting them by about $10k on price.
I asked him about servicing, since they don't have a dealer network. They say they usually arrange for the local kubota dealer to do their servicing, since it has a kubota engine, but we are with in their service range so if need be he could send a tech out.

3point hitch and PTO on the back would have sure been nice, but they don't offer it in this machine size. I asked - he said "maybe someday".

I was looking really hard at the JCB teleskid or the Bobcat v519, but this beats the teleskid in all performance areas, and is close to $20k cheaper, and beats the v519 at about $10k less. Have to talk it over with the wife, with the kubota dealer near by, but right now this looks like it will be my next purchase.

That is what an M62 is going out the door for and aside from the hoe, is more machine for the money, it seems.

It looks that way to me too. It is certified for ground engagement, which some telehandlers are not.

I am looking for something to back up my kubota here at camp. Hadn't really considered a telehandler, but with the exception of no 3pt hitch, it might work out better than a second tractor for my use. All the minis I see have really small tires, has anyone ever seen one with duel tires front n rear?

Really tiny tires for soft ground use with a heavy machine.
What does it take to mount SSQA implements to it?

Tires are same size as most Telehandlers...much larger than on a skid steer. They look to me to be about the same size as the front tires of a mid=size of a 4 wd utility tractor.

Regarding the SSQA, apparently it has it's version of a QA. Salesman says it works with most implements...but he also said they have a SSQA adapter plate for it. So I'm confused.

The tires on the smallest Merlo, 27.6 Plus are 12x16.5, R4 tread.

Tires on the Bobcat V519 are 16x20 and R1 tread:

My V417 tires are 14x17.5, that is 14 inches wide and just under 35 inches tall on a 17.5 inch rim:

Yes it would be the Merlo QA, for their attachments. You would need the SSQA adapter.

I have looked at a lot of telehandler pictures in the 8 years that I have owned the Versahandlers and have never seen duals. On most machines there isn't room for the outside dual when turning. Don't have any good pictures showing the clearance, but here is one that shows the rear wheels turned and how close the tire is to the body, there isn't room for a outside dual:

That's what it looked like from the pictures, I think I will go kick some tires when I am in Oregon, maybe some of them you could put super wide tires.
Stock I am afraid they would be stuck on my beach in two minutes:(

But it can get itself unstuck.

Always have a chain, but never seen an anchor like that, is it stainless steel? Looks like it will fold up pretty small.

Don't know anything about it, it showed up on a google image search.

For years now I've been threatening to buy an anchor! But, very few places on my property that I can't find a tree to latch on to: it's a matter, though, of having to haul out a lot of cable/chain: since having my Polaris Brutus I'm at least not having to walk long distances trying to carry such stuff!
