They do move in opposite direction when jacked up , that I checked earlier. But can't even push it in neutral when on the ground. With clutch held down. All clutch parts new.

Just when out and checked it again. Jacked up it it turns opposite like it's supposed to. When turning the wheel no trany gears are moving at all, in gear or neutral. While still off the ground and jumpbox on starter wheels turn in right direction. In gear and not in gear? On ground can not push it in gear or neutral. Clutch has no effect .

It sounds like two gears are engaged at the same time, locking up the tranny. The wheels going in opposite directions is the differential not turning the input shaft.

Yes! what he said. The transmission is stuck in two gears, your going to have to remove the top covet of the transmission and figure out which two it is and manually pop them put. I will wager the shifter is worn, when you remove the transmission cover look to see if the shift gates are all lined up or if one is offset to the others.

He stated earlier that he could shift in and out of all gears. Also stated the shift cover was off and nothing wrong was noted. Stuck in two gears is along shot there.

He "said" lots of things but some don't match-up so my money is also on stuck between gears or in 2 at once.

My Massy 135 would lock in two gears if you lifted the gear shift lever while shifting from fourth to third. Had to use broom handle thru a top case plug to lever it back in place. Only did it two or three times in 25years. Just had to be careful not to lift gear handle when shifting. May not apply to a Ford.
