Not a great pic. but this is a western Blue Jay . Stopped on the side of the rd. one day and it came right up to us scrounging. Not as pretty as the eastern.Billrog

He just camped out at the food plot last night. Here he is at 1am. But he was still there hanging out when I left for work this morning at 5:30 am.

Many years ago we were at the Ft. Wayne Children's Zoo. They have white peacocks. One is sitting on a low planter. Our kid, about 3 years old at the time, sees it and runs right up to it, face to face, maybe a foot apart, eye to eye. She's dancing with joy until....
The peacock opened up its beak and did the peacock scream right in her face! She turned and ran back to us so fast bawling her eyes out.
She's been leery of birds ever since.Very similar to this....
