It's the hoses that come from the valve controlled by the joystick that go to the front boom raise/lower, bucket curl up/down and the auxiliary electric valve that controls the 4-in-1 bucket jaws. Pics attached.View attachment 414352View attachment 414353

I'm guessing that you need pics of the hose configuration for the spool valves just below the joystick? www.JDParts.com would likely have a diagram that might be useful as well.

Not that I've heard, but I think they discontinued that model shortly after that.

I've looked at the exploded parts diagram in the catalogue but it's really hard to see where the lines and hoses go. I guess it need a "pin-out" diagram of sorts.

The 110 was made until 2011 if I recall. The model was never really improved upon and the target market for the machine all but disappeared (residential house construction). I wish deere would have continued to refine and improve the 110 instead of discontinuing it.

Now... if only I had the rear thumb option I would by a hydraulic auger for the backhoe in a
heartbeat.

I just run the hyd PHD off the bkt curl circuit. Works great.

My research has indicated that most of these tractor castings use cast steel, not
cast iron. The former is softer and more machinable. A spark test can be done with a grinder,
but the difference is a bit subtle.

Sorry to hear of all these 110 failures. Indeed many were in rental fleets...

Never thought of that... I guess no need for curl to position the auger?

What would keep the curl cylinder stabil... would the check valves in quick connects keep the cylinder from drifting?

You let the PHD dangle from the dipper pivot hole (bkt pivot). The boom, dipper, and swing allow
plenty of freedom of motion to get the auger vertical. I just cap off the retracted curl cyl and put the hoses
on the PHD motor. QDs would be the way to go if you mounted/dismounted it often.

I will PM you so we don't divert the 110 thread.

Couple of observations.. I don't believe that there were extensive numbers of 110's that failed with cracked bell housing's. Certainly not outside of expected "norms" for the industry or the construction marketplace.

In fact, I've never seen any documentation that Deere served notice to either dealer's or owner's that this was a significant issue affecting many units. If the problem were so extensive - JD would not likely have continued production through 2011. And most certainly would have implemented some manner of re-design or retro-fit or recall. Nothing of that sort occurred - to my knowledge - during the 110 production run.

That said, it seems the problem can manifest if the tractor does not receive routine maintainance i.e. checking and tightening loader mast bolts. That's just common sense... (And not something that typically occurs in a rental fleet.)

Personally, I'm gonna keep checking my lug nuts and my grease fittings and my linkages and my replaceable pins and.... You know just what you're supposed to do if you're paying ATTENTION.
