Well... After seeing how expensive a factory ROPS canopy was and seeing the DIY tops, I found a Club Golf Cart cover close by on market place for $40 and got started with my build.

This is my first post so bear with me on trying to add photos etc to this post.

Decided to delete the handle assists and bolt the aluminum to the existing brackets. Threw a stainless rod through the drainage holes in the back and put a piece of aluminum on the bar to mount the rear LED PODS.

Thin MDF is my base so I can build the toggle switch brackets and stereo. I'm going to wrap this and waterproof it with fiberglass resin.

Ordered a 12 inch radiator fan to give me some cooling for working in the summer.

Waiting on a few more parts before I can put it together.

Hardest part is my tractor is parked at my property so I'm building without being right next to it, so I know the mounting brackets will have to be somewhat modified when I go to attach it.

Here are some pics so far, I'll attach them.

Looks great so far. But I have to ask; Are you building that in your dining room? How'd you get that past the "other half"? :confused2:

Haha! Good eye. The garage is packed from out move and weather has been terrible, so I set up shop here to get this done.

Subscribing. I want to see the end of this. I have a lot of fiberglass at my disposal ready for a project like this.

Going to take some photos in the morning. Got the radiator fan in this morning (reversed the fan blades to blow are out instead of sucking it in)

Worked on the led pod placement and wiring to the 6 gang toggle switch box.

Took some photos of the tractor as well. Looks to have a few good spots to mount the top to the ROPS and frame using existing holes and mounts. IMG_20210220_140438.jpgIMG_20210220_140438.jpg

Coming along nicely.... last fall, I mounted mine (plain Jane) Used basically the same mounting holes... I parked under my deck, use "C" clamps to anchor straps to support the roof while I fabricated the braces and mounting brackets.

Thanks for that. That's exactly what I sketched out to mount the support bars. Hoping to get everything wired up this week and tested and get it mounted this weekend, weather permitting.

The layout so far. Going to wire everything up tonight hopefully to do a test on the connections etc. Got to find an extra battery in the garage to hook it up to.

Looks great. Keep up the good work so the rest of can steal shamelessly. Kidding but not really.

I could not find specs for your alternator... is it going to be strong enough for that load?

I will only be running the stereo and fan during day light and the lights by occasion.

I do have a voltmeter on the toggle switch gang to monitor it. I believe the alternator is 60amps

Not going to lie... This thing is the bomb. The fan is crazy powerful and the stereo is loud AF. Lights are super bright and I have them each on their own rocker switch to keep voltage low.

Next step is fiberglass then paint and reconnect and test, then mount. IMG_20210223_163916__01.jpgIMG_20210224_160442.jpg

Got a lot done today. I'm still "new" with the tractor, but learning a lot and I'm impressed with what this tractor can do especially in how mucky this land is.
