I ordered it from Markham Toothbar $296. -that's including shipping to NY.
I was going to pay the same for the cutting edge.

The bucket meassured 68" 8" in from center.

Thanks for all the help.

My only reservation... is back dragging.

I have discovered that the best backdragging result is with the bottom of the bucket dead level. I'm guessing the teeth wouldn't touch the ground.

Johnny--Don't end the thread yet! Once you get it let us know how it goes. Tell us how useful it is, how much difference it makes, how easy to install, etc.

Johnny,
Don't forget that the toothbar is not just for digging. It comes in real handy for pooping out small trees and shrubs, even without a grapple.
I'll share these pictures.

And it's great for popping out and picking up small rocks too.

Small?!?!?!? Your definition of small and mine are different; especially without a grapple. I can't wait to get a toothbar and grapple combo!

Glowplug,
LOL! Of course I was pulling your leg a little.
You can see that boulder is flattening out my fronts! But I did dig it out with the toothbar and never broke a tooth. A toothbar with a grapple is a lethal working combination. Like it was said, you can do almost anything with them. I know you've seen other tooth bar and grapple set-ups, but I'll share mine too.

Yeah, you'll definitely have to post pictures of the whole thing. A picture is worth a thousand words. You can see if you can dig up and pick up a few "Flintstone-Sized" boulders and take some pics.

Flintstone-Sized: Those boulders that Fred used to lift and move at the quarry.:D
Sort of like those things that 3RRL has in his FEL.

Fast shipping ordered 10/19/06 arrived 10/23/06 by UPS.

Installation was easy, I used my right angle drill to make holes.
The welding did not turn out so good --so for $20 bucks I had it done by a pro --I had to load the bucket on a pallet and I used my Q/A forks to load it to the caravan, brought it back home and painted it--it's 49 degrees so am letting the paint dry.

I'll try out later..

pictures on the way
