We all make great allowances to the lack of daylight. Who really cares what the hands on the clock are saying? Can the time changes! Typical Governent solution to things, make them more complex and involved.

Now that I’m retired (mas o menos) it’s not that big a deal but I still prefer DST.

I have two times. Daytime and Nighttime. In Summer, I try to get up in the late part of nighttime, just before daytime begins so I can get things done before daytime gets too hot. In Winter, it doesn't really matter.
