My BX25, 2010 vintage is labeled and the operating manual identifies it as a 25D. With new ones here selling at $16,750 paying what the op did, he did not in anyway get a bargain. The workshop manual and parts manual lump them all into BX 25 label on the manuals.

Cherokee, that plate as youve been told by several, is not "D" exclusive. Its only a skid AFAIK. And its been there since at least 2012. Likely since mid 2011 or even early 2011.

That is one **** of an "only skid" plate....I think it has more then one job.

But fine be that as it may, do you want to talk about the dash, brake, or anything else that really IS a "D" exclusive, the undisputable fact is that they are different tractors....does not matter one lick what that difference is but there IS a difference between machines with a BX25D sticker and chrome letters and those with out.
End of ******* story.

And unless someone from Kubota (not a dealer) gets on here and can identify themselves to MY satisfaction as actually working for them I will take all with a grain of salt. So many on here are internet experts that know nothing about what they talk....but claim to have the inside info on what really came first the chicken or the egg. Myself I don't know crap and I freely admit that. I only relay what I have been told.

Definitely not an expert but I'm smart enough to make sure I'm confident before I drop more than a few thousand dollars on something. I would also be sure to know the options that are important to me. As long as I was satisfied they were there and I was happy with the price I would by it, just as the original poster had.

This is a case of not being a fully prepared/educated consumer and a little buyers remorse.

Where is your line for being a responsible consumers? It is your money.

Except for the fact that they arent different tractors, fundamentally. All the major parts are the same as the "d". Hence why its nameplate is the same on the d and the D.

There were some changes, yes. New hydraulic valve for the hoe, a few creature comforts, and thats it.

"Advise from a dealer", you mean the same ones that have a vested interest in trying to sell you the latest model, and from my own experience dont know themselves what the exact differences are; heck I was pointing them out to the salesman. No thanks. Kubota has all their fiches online, you can go and compare whats on each model yourself.

So you agree that they are different machines. That one has changes the other does not, that means THEY ARE NOT THE SAME.

In my book if you bought something that was miss-represented that is not cool. In the law there is no "fundamentally" "major parts" or anything else...it is not the machine he thought he was buying. You could say that the major parts are the same between all the BX family....they are....depending how you define those words.

Doing my best here to push this over 100.

Keeping my eye on the post count......

Some here think that all consumers spend months researching their purchase, they all do not. Maybe they should but that's not the case.

I guess you could say that no two tractors are the same.

There was some minor improvements. Not enough for kubota to warrant a model change. Happens all the time with everything. Nothing new.

I like the earlier comparison to the 8n's with front mount vs sidemount distributor. The sidemount was an improvement, but no model change. So would a person be mislead if they bought an 8n with a front mount dist if it was their own fault that they didnt do their own homework or know any better??

Minor incremental changes do not make a new machine. As Ive said before, it's more an "appearance or comfort package" than a new model. 99.5% of that tractor is the exact same as the "d". It is not a new model and Kubota agrees, and it remains a D on the only thing that matters, the nameplate.

Post 100. Yay..
