Dealer Dealer sold me a used 2012 BX25 but advertised it as a used BX25D...

I said I wouldn't rant on this anymore, so I'll try not to. But I do have a question.

So, Kubota says the Bx25D is a new model in their 70 series line, but we know Kubota is wrong as the experts on here have informed us.

Could our resident experts tell us about the "fundamental" and "major" changes of the other BXxx70 machines in the 70 series line up, justifying their new model designations from the 60 series model numbers?

Or, is Kubota wrong about them also?

Were not talking about the BXxx70 series. Were talking about a BX25D vs a BX25D by the nameplate and whether or not a dealer was intentionally dishonest.

If you dont believe me that they are essentially the same look it up for yourself. Go though the fiches and compare component part numbers on engine and transmission, hoe and loader. For the most part they are exactly the same with a few differences and mostly they are spelled out in this thread.

We should all bow to Scooby and his vast Kubota BX25? know how. We all know he is privy to exacting details that only the few orange gnomes at Kubota know. We all know his total love for the BX series machines and is such a supporter in their ability to do NOT ONE ******* THING WELL. That the BX is a total waste of money that no one will ever be happy with and if they are.....well you are just an idiot for only an idiot would think that a BX is capable of doing anything, let alone anything well.

Like I said before, Kubota just wanted to dress up an old pig and spend a few million on stickers that will do nothing but fool those idiots like myself that think the tractor is perfect for my needs....what the heck do I know.

That'd be nice. Then again, you can look up what parts have been changed for yourself on Kubotas website. If you do, you'll see that for the most part, the changes are purely cosmetic. But then again, its much easier to just rant here.

Actually I never said any of that. I said it was a "jack of all trades, master of none." And it is. If you take the rose coloured glasses off, and get several hundred hours of hard work on the tractor as I have, you will see that.

Well, I happen to think we're talking about the same thing, and maybe even agreeing.

I was talking about this being a screw up by Kubota. Both the dealer and the buyer could have done more investigation, seems everyone agrees with that. I bet the dealer wasn't intentionally trying to deceive, and I agree the buyer was too trusting. I want to give both a bit of a pass, as I think Kubota is the one that is particularly culpable in this ugly transaction.

The changes from the BX 60 series models to the 70 series models across the board are pretty much the same as the changes in the BX25D-60 to BX25D-70 (other than the new backhoe changes of course). There were enough changes that Kubota decided (whether we agree or not) to rebadge the BX line with new model numbers - including rebadging from BX25 to BX25D. It is very clear from their own website they consider the BX25D a new 70 series model.

But, the serial plate buried down on the frame says BX25D on both. Talk about ripe for confusion, misunderstood transactions, and even intentional fraud.
