Deck over trailer for tractors

Low deck trailers, for private individuals, are a LOT more cost effective than calling in a hauling company.

Deckover trailers are far more versatile and capable once any unnecessary fears about load height are overcome.

I understand what your saying about either direction. Could you temporarily turn in the top link on 3pt just for loading? This would give more clearance right? B

I have TnT, so raise the back edge of the impliment every time without even thinking about it. I'm sure that's why the angles on my tilting deckover are less problematic than you'd expect, now that I think about it.

The mini backhoe I posted earlier scraped ever so slightly on a level load & unload. But again, not enough to wory about.

Generally the width between fenders is 81-83" or so. Max width is 102", minus 2 tires, a little clearance & fenders.

Bumper pull campers are bar none the worst designed and pulling trailers on the road. The higher GOG of a deck over trailer is an unfounded fear. Do you see them just rolling over? As to load height until you get into construction equipment and massive tractors it’s a non existent concern.

And yet a semi trailer weighs over 40,000 lb loaded and the deck starts over four feet off the ground...
If it is a box trailer, there is often significant weight all the way up to 13 ft off the ground.

This is the one that’s in stock at a local dealer. Seems to be spec’d well. 3’ dovetail with standard 5’ ramps. Thoughts?

That 3’ dovetail looks pretty steep but maybe it’s fine. Why not just demo the trailer and drive up it?
