Deere 110 with BB1284 box blade, not working properly?

Glad to hear that the problem has been identified and fixed. Did they rebuild the diverter valve or just replace it?
I wouldn't think that rebuilding the valve would be that expensive - but, the labor to pull everything apart and put everything back together; lines, etc. would be!

They are replacing, not rebuilding. I posted the same thing on GTT and the same question was brought up, and resulted in the same answer you gave. Might be cheaper for us to rebuild, but after shop hours and the reliability now being on the shop to produce a 'like new' part, they'd rather replace.
Should be home this week, if they can get the part in and replaced. As you probably know as well as I do by now, they don't move super fast as they have had the tractor more than I have at this point!
Hopefully it will be home shortly and can finally get some use out of it:thumbsup:

Martian, be sure to get the faulty valve back from them.
I'm asking about that tomorrow, Ken (Kennyd now on GTT) called dibs on it though:thumbsup:

Bet there is NOT a faulty valve to get back, Just a bunch of parts if they rebuilt the valve.

They did order a new valve, so there should be something, maybe I'm wrong. I'll find out tomorrow for sure.

There should be a valve returned.. It's just a machined, mono-block of aluminum with O-ringed inserts.
Hard to say what's wrong with it. Be interested to know.. maybe some foreign material, O-ring ka-blooey. Worse thing would be a chunk of harder metal lodged in there and scoring or gouging the mono-block.
If the gouge was bad enough - block might just be a desk ornament!

Martian, I get the vibe your dealer isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer. There is so little to the valve assembly(as AK suggested) that it would definatly be cheaper to repair it. However, I would have likely replaced it with a new one if I wasn't able to repair/replace it myself. Without a doubt get the old one back.

I too thought just a rebuild was in order, but did not know it was made of aluminum. I would have thought it would be cast iron. I also thought hunks of O-Ring causing the trouble and most of the cost quoted was labor charge to R & R, then rebuild. I'll have to check the valve price on JDparts. Quote seems to low for a new valve installed.
Let us know what failed and pictures if possible. Hard to believe on such a low hour machine.
