Gsxr... are you SURE you are not a politician? Cause' I think you are deffinately quallified to be one! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Lots of talk.. and yet you have managed to dodge Mikes' question multiple times /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

The closest thing you gave to an answer on the "believe/not believe' answer, is that you would consider it.. HA! in essence.. no answer!.

I'm glad i wasn't the original poster.. who has been trapped in thes 'room' walking around trying to get someone just to give him a yes/no answer.. poor guy /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

And to think I missed this thread... I could have used a good laugh this week!

Naa.. don't bother replyng.. consider this a rhetoricle question... /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

( now where did I set my popcorn and beer down at! )

First of all Mikey I could care less if you or anyone else believes what I have to say. You really care about it come on over and look at the results yourself. I've said it many times. No I'm not going to go scan a bunch of info, post it, and then listen to you about it. I have no desire or need to prove one thing with you. You run a little BX and can even try and compare that to a real world situation. You put less hours in a year on one that even the cheapest oil out there would show good numbers for. Yet you post an oil test on oil that was changed before the hours were even necessary to change it on a normal oil change and that is supposed to mean something? You have no clue whatsoever about really running heavy equipment and farming. So how are you going to even begin to interpret the #'s? You won't. Isn't it about time you just stopped your games?

I state my opinions and experiences. I don't care if anyone believes me or not. What the user needs to do is take advantage of the vast array of experiences by everyone and make his own decision. You unfortunately want to degenerate everyone's opinion as wrong, false, liars, etc. just because it doesn't fit your extremely narrow view as it is related to about the smallest BX made with minimal hours. Like I said how that equates to any kind of real data is beyond me.

No cowboy, the point here was that you failed, yet again, to support your claim/data. Then you being the mod here have to attack me on the equipment I own. I am not a famer not care to be nor a D.O. either.

I can’t comment on you statement since you did not post anything to comment on. Still going on 10-months with nothing here. Cowboy data is data and I might not have equipment that is up to your standards but again at least I post more then “opinions and experiences”.

I think you should go back and re-read TBN Forum rules here since you are breaking #5; even though you are a moderator.

No I anwered the quesiton. I did on 10/12/05 01:50 PM

"I would have the choice of at least SEEING the data other then someone just posting on how they see it." Again I have to see something (data) to believe. Pay attention to the key words here.

Mike, the point here is at least the user is posting something; at least they are trying."

Again IF the user see something he/she can select to believe or not. But if they do not show anything, how can they? Assume everything in the world here???

I am not a famer

Yet you know the conditions that a 9600 combine run in and what an 8320 goes through during the season? You know the conditions surrounding the 6415 with a full load on a 567 baler in the middle of 100 degree heat and dust and chafe all around? And then you're going to make an objective and informed analysis on the oil tests for those units? Well I do run these units and I know what the tests mean to me and the JD mechanics that work on them. How in the world you think I would scrimp on $100 difference in oil if it really made a difference on a $250,000 piece of machinery is beyond me. You want to do it that's great and I respect your decision. In our situations it's a complete waste of money. I didn't fail anything because I'm not trying to prove anything. I just stated my opinion from my experiences and what my tests show.

Seriously now.. all joking aside...Lots to be said for experience...

( I think you should go back and re-read TBN Forum rules here since you are breaking #5 )

That's weak... You are practically calling the fellow ( and just about everyone else) a liar... and you are seriously worried about a little man to man posting?

How about this.... Bow out of the thread..... no shame in doing that. I bow out of a thread every now and then if it looks like it is going to ignitel... always a good option, if in doubt.

Uh.... I don't immediately assume that everything everyone tells me is a lie.

So now lets throw more #’s in the game and confuse everyone. Not that I really care about these #’s on some equipment.

Cowboy, all I said was, “Can you support this claim?” Nothing more, nothing less.

( ( How in the world you think I would scrimp on $100 difference in oil if it really made a difference on a $250,000 piece of machinery is beyond me. ) )

I do not know, since only you and our JD guy see the tests. I guess it is "Double secret probation!" per Dean Wormer

Nor do I assume everything I read on the internet is true... like oil test results. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I'll stick with my own "as used" tests... I use a certain oil, it does well, so I keep using it. This plan has worked so far.

Experience is great if done correctly. And just because something works for years does not mean it is right either nor is there better and more efficient ways too.

And no sound guy, coming from a Mod here on TBN, they are not following the rules, set fourth.

I am not calling the guy anything or anyone anything, Just saying that without data, posting is meaningless. I always try to post something to at least backup my posts. I do not come out and say, for exampe, Amsoil is the best. Or Mobil is the best.....

Now, if someone assumes otherwise, I can’t do anything out it. Plus if people assume things, well that in itself is pretty wrong. I was also paraphrasing what came from this forum already. I can go back and look where it cam from and I kind of have an idea.
