If only exercise and an active lifestyle made me feel as good as eating food that is bad for me.
Once I fixed my diet, I now have no desire for eating bad stuff. I've only experienced it a few times in the last few years, but headache and joint aches are not worth it! I do still have times where I'd like to eat quantities larger than I should, but not garbage that I should never eat.

Bad food might feel good on the tongue, but illness results after.
Exercise might be tough while it's occurring, but the feeling after is the best.

Bingo!

very happy to see my AIC drop, if only to 6.0 from 6.1
I came home from yesterday's lab draws and promptly ate a dark chocolate Easter bunny... :giggle:
locally made, I bit those chocolate ears off with a smile. I never eat this stuff, it's giveaway candy I buy for
family relatives young.

glucose still high at 109.
pretty sure that's the pineapple juice I've been drinking and chopped fresh fruit eaten.
none that morning of course but every day before then. I'm testing pineapple juice on my arthritis
for a month to see if any difference. Unfortunately it comes with all that sugar.
drinking one 6 oz can a day, mixed in with flavored seltzer or some other juice to dilute it,
is only way I can be consistent. I never normally drink fruit juice, so this is a change for me.
not organized enough to try to eat fresh pineapple every day and the ease of this enables my trying it.

I like to mix things with unsweetened cranberry juice. You have to dilute that too, so might as well
mix together, sour and sweet. Think a few swallows of fresh water after that might be good for the teeth though.
that can be a lot of acid going down the pipes...

I'm taking a joint supplement for arthritis. Glucosamine with Chondroitin
Been a yr and it seems to work. I was having a lot of trouble with my neck, painful and limited head turning. Made it hard to drive and working the tractor with anything on the 3 pt was almost impossible. Now that's much better, only occasional hand flare ups. I attribute it to this and the Vitamin D supplement but that's another post ;)

How to improve your insulin sensitivity, an article in Diabetes Strong.
--------------------------------------

Key Points:

  • Regular physical activity, especially daily walks, significantly boosts insulin sensitivity.
  • Improving your diet by reducing processed foods and incorporating whole foods can enhance insulin sensitivity.
  • Reducing stress and getting sufficient sleep can lower insulin resistance, which improves blood sugar management.
  • Weight loss, even small amounts, can lead to a noticeable improvement in insulin sensitivity and reduced insulin needs.

Does anyone here use there? I used a CGM but still interested in what users say.

Run, don't walk, the other way.

There are no entries at the FDA for Laozik products, nor non-invasive blood glucose. They would be required by law to have a 510 filing, or a 510(k). There are also no endorsements from the ADA. Finally, I would place 99.9% accuracy in fantasy land, unless they can present that data in a peer reviewed paper. Different laboratory techniques are not that good, nor are finger sticks compared with venous blood draws.

Try the following search and read what the FDA has to say;
site:fda.gov "non-invasive" "blood glucose"

There was a time when I looked pretty deeply into making this happen, and to my mind it is not possible. The why is a long story, but just as haemoglobin gets covered with glucose (A1c readings), so do most other proteins in the blood and body to some degree. That gives an enormous background of "glucose" and "glucose like" molecules to dominate the signal back from a laser, or indeed any other method, e.g. magnetic fields, etc. I've known some quite competent folks who disappeared down that rabbit hole for decades, and nobody succeeded, even with a wide variety of technologies.

As blood glucose control is central to continuing existence for many diabetics, one would a device that is quite accurate, as erroneous readings could be deadly.

I love the photoshopped finger that is too small for the device.

Stay safe- run, don't walk away.

All the best,

Peter

I tried a blood sugar wrist watch. It was good on blood pressure and temperature...but failed on BS readings.
