Re: Didn稚 know buying a truck was so hard

I don稚 disagree with the useless part but I don稚 really think theyæ±*e that bad. You wouldn稚 have to try hard to figure out my opinion of any pickup but a half ton pickup isn稚 exactly known for its load hauling ability. A half ton is rated to tow more than the ridge line but thatç—´ a marginal win. Isn稚 the ridgeline built on a Pilot chassis? I壇 think the ride would be pretty good. And no they don稚 seat as many as other options but if you only need to seat 4 who cares?

Several of our service people have Ridgelines and very pleased...

One is Telecom and another has contract for some BioMed...

Traded my 2012 Tundra Crewmax for 2019 Ridgeline in Nov 2019, love it.

Hey, if it works for you, great!

But since most "real men" type people may (OK, will) call a Ridgeline a [insert your preference for a "less than manly" conveying device)

Let me just bow out here.

How nice of you not to disappoint that someone would seize the opportunity not to contribute in a positive manner.

Thing is none of those “real men” contributed to the repairs of my 2007 GMC 3500 diesel or the 2012 Tundra that replaced it, nor even offered a substitute the weeks they were in the shop. Funny, but those events didn’t make me feel more manly either, just frustrated and at times pizzed off.

Rather unmanly that 14 months of my Ridgeline have ‘sucked’ money out of my wallet for gas and scheduled service/oil change. It also serves all my needs.

Intended use is part of the equation... my brother has a Super Duty King Ranch... great truck but a pain in the neck in urban settings where parking is premium...

The biomed always had full size F150 pickups... he found the Ridgeline better suited to navigating San Francisco and Peninsula service area...

A bed with equal gauge sheet metal as a soup can is a “work” truck but a ridge line is girly truck. Ok makes sense to me.

Maybe I'm stupider than I thought. Not sure what you're saying.

Is it that since the BODY metal of a Ridgeline is thicker than [some/other/most] "real" pickups, that it's more capable towing/hauling?

By the way, I get that if someone can do all they need with a Ridgeline (et al) it's rather foolish to buy a 5500. Then again, if that's what you want, there's nothing holding you back other than $$.

My trucks are both white, F-450 Super Duty and Silverado 2500 HD. Most of you guys couldn't even get the color right.

No surprise you keep getting the size wrong too.

(I hope I can impress a FEW hundred guys whose opinions won't tow my trailer.)

You guys happy with your Ho hos and Yo yos can just laugh us 'real men' off and enjoy your wheels. "Ya done good!" or you'd gripe. :)

btw, I prefer American brands but drive a Mazda. A deal maker was that it was UAW-built at Ford Flat Rock Assembly between Fusions going down the same line. We all have our criteria.
