I’m saying they’re both pretty useless for hauling anything in the bed. And yea the 5500 is more my thing. I have one and a 6500, and 7500. Unless you can dump stumps in the bed I’m not impressed by a truck bed. Ridgeline bed or f-250 bed same difference.

When I purchased the Taco Wagon( Ram 2500 Power Wagon) I had a rare experience. Finally, it was built and arrived from the Chrysler plant in Saltillo, MX. It was on the showroom floor when I went to pick it up. It was a really cold, rainy, nasty evening and the young( 25 ) sales person had spent all afternoon polishing the outside and "greasing" all the leather on the inside.
He opened the door so I could jump up( literally) and get in. To his surprise - I lay down on the floor and proceeded to check everything on the underside. From nose to tail. As I went from the Warn winch to the electrically activated sway bar disconnect system to the CV joint on the front drive line to the skid plates - I was asking all sorts of questions. I could tell that he was not overly familiar with 4WD vehicles and the Power Wagon in particular.
All of a sudden the "voice" answering my questions changed dramatically. It was a woman. I wiggled out from under and there stood this very cute, young blonde. By the time I got to the trailer hitch assembly I was convinced that she must be a displaced automotive engineer.
I have never met a person so intimately familiar with a vehicle. And the Ram Power Wagon IS rather unique.
The male salesperson was somewhat embarrassed - the gal was proud as punch. He has moved on to other jobs - she is my contact when I take the vehicle in for oil changes. She will alway come to the waiting room and ask if there are any problems, etc, etc.

During the extended wait for the Power Wagon I received a "tip" from another TBN'er. His Ram truck had been built in MX also. He advised - be sure to check under the seats. He said there were taco wrappers under the seats of his new pickup. Mine must have been finished by a hungry auto worker - no taco wrappers. But the name Taco Wagon was generated and has stuck.

I just purchase my "second" new vehicle last week. A "Toy truck" Tacoma ubiquitous I believe is the model designation. 6 speed crunch box Standard shift is hard to come by.
I had sent out specs via the "build a truck" thing, but all I got was "when can you come and talk about ....".
Since the market is tight, custom factory orders are not supported. So I paid $1000 for a technology package I didn't want, but didn't pay $2000 for the heated seats package that I did want. (after market here I come.
It was tooth and nail to get the "Nitrogen tire fill" $200 taken off the purchase price, and a week to get real documentation for the factory backed extended service agreement.
(Who is going to honor a sharpie written note on a sales brochure?" Those "sales managers must be used to working with the mentally challenged.
I dislike care sales!
At any rate. This is my second new Toyota. The first was in 1983. A Land Cruiser, red in color. Now this light duty pickup. also red. I wish I could have paid the price of the Land Cruiser ;-)
Big question now , do I sell the utility trailer?

IMO a minimum-size 'truck' would be able to pick up a pallet at a freight terminal vs pay for lift-gate delivery. (buy a grapple, flail, SSQA adapter, etc ..?)
Tundra should do that just fine, IMO so would a Ridgeline.
