2015 GMC Canyon First Look - Motor Trend
nice looking truck. The front of the GMC is a little busy for me, I liked the simple Denali look but I guess they've worn
that out. At least they are offering a manual trans.
Does Ram have a patent on those bed boxes? Am surprised others aren't offering them.
I'd love to see a manual available.... but let's not get too excited..... :cool2:
That early unit could be for export markets ?
Rgds, D.
I like the exterior but is it me or does the dash console seem unsightly, out of proportion? It says manual only available in the 4 banger.

Before I retired from the Fire Dept. on 2002 we got 4 of the pilot or first run vehicles from the Arlington GM assembly plant. GM was required to produce x number of each model that could not be sold or titled to train assembly line employees. They gave them to FDs for training and the State of Texas got some for the prison system where they never left the farm property. These were not stripped down models either, leather interiors, alloy wheels and nice stereos. We had a great extrication class and cut them to pieces, much better than working on 20 year old wrecks. I did notice that when they were towed to the junk yard they no longer had new tires and rims or stereos but our FD vehicles were nicer.![]()
Are all the models going to look like this or are they going to make a much simpler "plain Jane" version? That dash looks like they used the dash of a Tacoma as inspiration. Even the Sierra looks like they copied the Tacoma. It's kind of funny because Toyota didn't copy the Tacoma dash on the Tundra.
There will be a W/T and LS (more base trim). Will be building fleet trucks also.
