Different Pole Barn system?

/ Different Pole Barn system? #31
not visible in the pictures, there are steel cables running in an x-pattern and from side to side at the top of the vertical posts. I've been in the barn in some pretty heavy winds and it doesn't move. by the time it is completely sided, there will be laminated beams and floor joists for the loft tieing things together even better. Fortunately, the usual at my place is just breezy and 'high' winds are rare.

Thanks for the explanation. Since I live where the wind can reach very high speeds once in a while I have become concerned about such things. When I built my shop the Codes had just changed to require "Design for 120 mph winds on the west side of I-75 and 115 mph on the east side of I-75" ... I live about one mile on the west side of I-75. There is no structure made of wood in the building except from the ceiling joist up! I was required to use 6" steel studs (and steel cross braces for the shear walls) ... so it is well built. It took me 3 months of constant design and change to get a permit. The orginal drawings (Arch) were good for the footing, floor, building foot print and the roof system by the time we got the permit. Again thanks for the expanation!
