For all that are interested here is my chart..

Thanks. Any chance you could post the remarks and footnotes? (Or just reassure us that they amount to nothing).

How many guys are replacing their radiator hoses, power steering hoses, fuel lines and intake air hoses every 2 years as the chart suggests????? Anyone replacing their coolant every two years???? Not me!:confused2:

I inspect regularly but so far all hoses are without cracks or evident wear and I probably have the oldest new series DK (Sept 2007) here. My tractor does live in a barn and only gets about 75hrs/year put on it so it isn't exactly living a hard life.

I have a 2001 DK. I replaced 1 fuel line that blew, other than that I haven't changed any hoses.
I did change the antifreeze once.

All the references to warranty in this post got me curious enough to read the Kioti warranty on line.

Kioti Tractor Warranty
Aug 1, 2010

C. The General and Extended Warranties do not cover the following:

Section C Item 2 A repair made or parts replaced or modified by anyone other than an authorized KIOTI dealer.

D. The warranty for any tractor immediately terminates if any of the following occur:

Section D Item 2 Any replacement parts used on the tractor are other than genuine KIOTI brand parts;
Item 3 Any repair made or parts replaced or modified by anyone other than an authorized KIOTI dealer;

Section H No modification of Warranty

This warranty is the only warranty authorized by KIOTI Tractor for tractors and attachments. Neither the KIOTI authorized distributors, dealers, nor any other party has any authority to make representations on behalf of KIOTI Tractor to modify the terms and limitations of this warranty.

Even if you use Kioti parts and follow the instruction of the dealer you can't replace them without voiding the warranty. Filters are replacement parts. WIX or what ever your preferred brand oil filter are not Kioti parts.
Even if your dealer tells you that any brand Hydraulic oil will do, if it is not in the book as "Kioti" recommended you have likely voided the warranty.

Just my thoughts. Gonna go relax and enjoy using my tractor.:licking:

boilerplate....look at any automotive manual war4ranty. its the same thing.

Kioti REQUIRES genuine Kioti parts....while under warranty... which is only fair. After warranty is up...who cares right.

As far as routine maint goes..anyone can do it. just keep receipts and hours logged. But if you need to do any major work while under warranty....why wouldnt you have the dealer do it anyways....its free.

Interesting, my owners manual says to change the transmission fluid at 50 hours. The previous Kubota said filters only at 50 and fluid at 400 hrs.

Island, I did change coolant at 2 years on my B7500, and planned to on the L3400hst, but did not keep the tractor, and plan to on the Kioti, but hoses.. pffft.. if they look good, and squeeze good, go on with them.

Well, On that page it says The transmission fluid should be changed if it is contaminated or after the transmission is serviced.
When changing the transmission fluid, make sure to change the fluid filter.
However, replace only the filter after intial 50-hour operation.
But on the stupid chart they have it has a dot for 50 hour change.
So I ask you, How often do you change your tranny fluid in your car? Mine has 60,000 miles and has never been touched.

On old cars we used to change every 24000, but new ones I think they are like 100,000 now. I had the tranny fluid changed on a 1972 Olds delta 88 I bought for $500 once, and it had the maint log all filled out by the previous owner a Catholic Priest, And he changed motor oil "religiously" at 3000 miles with Standard LDO all of its 160+thousand miles. The motor ran like a top (350) but the tranny was slipping (turbo 400)..So I had the fluid changed, if you could call it flluid, it was as black as tar, and the little white plastic thingy they put in to seal the transmission in shipment and is knocked down into the pan by the dipstick the first time it is inserted was in the bottom of the pan, along with most of the clutches:eek: Apparently the good father, had never heard of fluid changes on the ole tranny. It did not do any better with the new fluid. Oh well.

Actually, changing coolant every 3-4 years is a good idea. The anti-corrosion additives oxidize and lose effectiveness. Anyone that's opened up an old car engine that never changed coolant knows this. I don't change hoses unless they leak, bulge/soften, or have overheated.
