DK40SE Squeal When Moving in Reverse.

To my knowledge, you're the first to report the squeal returning after the 'anti-squeal kit' has been installed.

Same here....installing the kit fixed the squeal and there has been no sign of it in about 800 hours operating since the install.

No more squeal, in about 200 hours since the kit.

I had the reverse squeal issue with my DK40SE HST also and brought it to the attention of my dealer at the 50 hour service and to my knowledge from following this thread and looking on my tractor they installed the kit to fix my tractor and it worked great for about 50 hours. Then the squeal came back. Has this happened to anyone else? I plan to check with my dealer again tomorrow, but I thought that I would check with you all to see if anyone else had that to happen to them.

Thanks.
Had the kit installed on my 2012 at 20 hours that Coyote machine suggested.I now have 160 hours and no squeal.

Spoke with the dealer today and he gave me a new hydraulic filter to try. He said there was a bulletin on it that the old style may cause cavitation. I changed them today and ran the tractor for a couple of hours. The squeal was there after about one hour of running. Going to call and let him know tomorrow.

Telling him the fix usually works isn't helping guys, in his case it's not. How about some suggestions. Mine is to drain the hydro fluid completely, and if it's not filthy, pour it back in slowly. Doing this may get rid of any air bubbles, which is what the problem may be. This may be completely wild, but it's my best guess.

To this point the fix has always worked. We are just confirming that to be the case. Sure we can make wild assed guesses as to what to do next, but that's not going to help either.
We need confirmation, pictures and more info in general to solve the OP's issue.
Personally, I wouldn't drain and refill the hydro trans until we have more of what I asked for above. It's not that what you suggested is a bad idea, it's just that keeping the hydro fluid clean while doing the drain and refil would be difficult at best, and we're certainly not looking to create more issues for him.

I'd like to hear more about the 'bulletin' regarding a new hydro filter, that his dealer cited. Is it a different part #? When was it rolled out to prevent cavitation? Seems for the OP it is not doing so, since the squeal persists.

I just replied so he would know some are reading the thread.

Perhaps one thing to try would be to change the configuration of the flexible pipe by tying it in a circle rather than leave it straight. I know nothing about hydraulics so maybe that is a strange idea.

kco, no problem, my reply was aimed at what TJP89 had said about our collective replies not helping the OP.
As I understand the problem of the trans squeal, it is present in some HST Kioti's, mostly DK Series. It seems to come from vibration or resonance in the HST, possibly transmitted via the hydraulic lines into an audible and annoying noise and pitch. The flexible tubing may give some dampening effect to the output of the noise, and thus eliminates it's presence, by 'magic'. I don't have any further details about how it works to stop the squeal, just that it seems to be very effective. Twisting the flex hose might have an effect, who knows....:confused3:

Re: the 'squeal issue' is simple fix, and takes virtually no time or effort - not to worry, once and done.
You need to work with the selling dealer and Kioti corporate, not the person who answers the phone.
The only way to solve these type of issues is to go the distance with the way the 'system' is set up to work. Find out the regional reps name and get in touch with him. Request a reasonable solution to your issues in a timely manner.
