Short Bed, Quad CabWhat is SBQC?
I have adjustable width 1/2 racks on 5.5 ft bed on my 2012 Nissian Titan crew cab that can carry canoe, ladder, or lumber, while still allowing being able move around & to stand up in the bed and load stuff. My '05 F250 beat the snot out of me empty. Loaded was much more manageable. I hated driving it for that reason. Finally sold it and got a Ranger a year and a half ago and it is tons better. I really didn't need the capacity of the big truck anymore, but still needed a truck somewhat. Stuck with the supercab to get the 6' bed as I could not stomach a 5' bed after having an 8-footer on the F250.
I didn't think a Tundra was a 3/4 ton truck. But stiffer springs and 10 ply tires aired up to 60-80psi is going to be rougher. My Tundra's not smooth for sure but has more compliance.
You know youre supposed to post a pic of new equipment and vehicles, Right?I ended up buying a lightly used Chevy from a dealer in SoCal and driving it home yesterday. The ride is a little better than the one I test drove though that might just be the roads I was on. Most of the time the ride's fine but it does not like sharp edged bumps or poorly laid concrete freeways. We have a lot of those in the SF bay area. The dealer had the tire pressure at 70 in the back per the on board display. When I got home I discovered that none of my tire gauges read that high so I ordered one to keep in the truck.
