heres another shot of that, the spot to the right with all the paint burned off was where i had to heat the blade to bang out a dent that was in the top edge right where i needed to weld on my bracket, took alot of heat since its about a half inch thick, i held the big propane torch on the back side and my girlfriend held the oxyacetylene on the front and when it was hot enough i took away the heat and gave it a few good blows with the sledge, took a few times of doing this but i got it back to straight

Mark I know where a good 4 jaw chuck is for 25 bucks its locked up though. I bought the 3 jaw that as its mate for a friends lathe and go it freed up. Its in use every day now. I think its an 18 inch chuck, maybe smaller.

thats a tempting offer taylor but i think by the time i payed shipping from down there to up here it would make it not worthwhile, especialy since its locked up, i am sure i could find one localy also i just havent realy been looking, sorta one of those back burner projects

Mark no problems I can free it up im getting it in with a radial arm drill I bought from thesame shop. I got a whole running Cincinatti 5 foot radial arm for 450 bucks needs a few contacts in the height controls. Ill free it up and I may be in Conneticut some day lol might have to drop by and trade it in for directions back home lol.

Mark they have 5 of them at the moment. They came from a TVA machine shop they got all new machines and let these go to a machinery moving shop. I bought a medium shper this week for 250 bucks with a 2 foot stroke. with internal and external tooling. I need a rotary table and an indexing head for it now.
