Yep, of course there's those words "supposed to". I just noticed that I had 1285 subscriptions so I deleted them to start over and see what happens.:laughing:

Yep, I cleaned them all out. Now my subscriptions show "instant" notification, but I posted in this thread and in the Things are getting expensive $$$$ thread, both do show now in the list of subscriptions, but I have not received an e-mail yet myself.

I used to use the instant notification until my old internet provider, (Mindspring), thought they were spams and deleted them in their servers. That was a while back.
So, I just bookmarked the "Subscriptions" link to see all my subscriptions. I now like doing that much better. I don't get any subscription emails, and I just click on my bookmarked link and can tell which subscribed threads have new activity by their darker color. I get enough emails as it is and this way is foolproof.

Dave, I'm not getting e-mail notifications anymore either, but it's not something I did.:laughing: Or at least I don't think it is.

I got the email notification for this but no link to click on to go to it anymore. I had to go to 'my home' to get it easily. hmmm Come to think about ti, none of the emails from here lately have links to click on.

Ok, everything should be fixed now. E-mails shouldn't have dead links and shouldn't be going to your spam folder.
In order to get e-mail notifications you have to set your notification type to instant e-mail, daily e-mail or weekly e-mail when you subscribe to a thread. If you have your default thread subscription mode set (or did in the past) you will have a bunch of subscribed threads under My Home. The specific notification type will depend on what it was set to when you subscribed.

Everything shows that mine is set for instant notifications, and always has been, so we'll see what happens. Since I cleaned out all the old subscriptions there are only 3, including this thread, but so far no e-mails.

I can't imagine how you can be sure that TBN emails won't go to people's spam folders ... & even if you can, won't actual spammers be able to figure it out too, & then we have to invent a new spam blocking technique for them that might again block TBN emails ... & around & around we go ... ??!

Well there was a specific problem that caused the messages to be viewed as spam by gmail, which we fixed. other providers and programs, who knows.

You made me realize: I also just open & browzer & go to http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/usercp.php when I feel like checkin' into TBN ... so no need to get email notifications sent to me ... so I just turned that off.

Did you specify instant e-mail notification when replying?
Another thing you can do is post a test thread with instant e-mail notification and wait for another user to reply.
We are tracking all outgoing e-mails and none are being ISP blocked so if your e-mail address is correct, it's getting delivered. That leads to the notification settings.

I set it to email me about this thread and I have not yet got one for the last several posts.
