Electrical question

/ Electrical question #11
my whole farm only has 100 amps at the pole, I have a complete wood shop in the garage, 220volt on most tools, and I have a good mechanical shop in the barn, welders machine shop, large air compressor, lathes milling machine, and a meat cutting room, walk in cooler and walk in freezer, and the house, between the buildings, 4 chest freezers, two refrigerators, AC on the house, deep well, 3 aeration fans on the grain bin, electric motors on the grain augers,

and have never tripped the main breaker, for a very long time we only a 70 amp on the pole, and never tripped that either,

/ Electrical question #12
Think of it this way, a 220 motor drawing 100 amps running at 90% efficiency (22000va x 90%= 19,800 watts or basically all the loads using up 29 horsepower at once.
In fact, even if you temporarily overload it 125%, drawing around 36hp, it would take about three minutes before the breaker tripped.

My Dad's house/farm has a 60A Main panel.
