I made, more or less the same mistake.

I could not get ahold of Mark because it was a very busy time for him, so I ordered through Amazon. Then Mark clued me in about it. Back orders get filled from Everlast before they get filled through Amazon. Orders through Mark get better pricing than shown on the Everlast site and include shipping. And the welders can come with more or better equipment than what comes with the Amazon orders.

I emailed Amazon and cancelled. No problem as the welder was on back order.

I ended up getting my MTS 211 Si at least a week before I expected it, and at a lower price, through Mark. I also have an Everlast Powerarc 300 that has been excellent.

Don't feel bad, I did the same thing, ordered a week ago, called today to find out the status since the UPS tracking has remained "label printed". Everlast said the soonest it (Powerarc 200st) would ship is May 1st. So I guess we will both be welding with the old machines for a while....

Unfortunately true. It is mud season here. A good time for maintenance and working in the shop. I am doing a rehab project on an old dump trailer I have. Thought it would be a great way to start out with the 200ST but instead I continue to see that there is nothing wrong with the old AC 225 buzz box :confused3:

My Everlast 200ST arrived in Feb., and I couldn't be happier with it!! I've never welded before, just read a couple books and watched some ChuckE2009 YouTube videos. I've had a couple professional welders critique my stick welding and give me some pointers, and they say I'm getting there. They said the machine was really smooth and simple to operate. They also said I should take advantage of its TIG welding capability too, so that may be in my future if I can keep the additional equipment costs within reason.

Trust me that once you get the 200ST you will have no desire to flip the switch on that Lincoln Buzzbox again.

I know - Just feeling sorry for myself. Don't pay any attention. But my hopes were dashed. I placed the order. About 6 hr later a get an email from Paypal with tracking number saying welder is shipped and payed for. Then a email from UPS with more tracking info saying I will have it in 3 days. Wow I thought.... Then a phone call from EverLast politely explaining it was all a big mistake. The welder is back ordered until after May 1 so about seven weeks before I will see it not 3 days. Sorry for the confusion. That just set the wrong tone. But I'll get thru it.

gg. Same thing happened to me. I had to wait on my 200ST for about 2 months. But for the price and the performance, it's worth the wait.

I need a new welder. Liking the Everlast. Anyone tell me the ins & out? Looking for a AC/DC tig like the 185DV or 200DV. Any info will be great.

Miller Diversion is a joke. Study up before you choose that one.

We sell a bunch of both. Personally, I think the 200DV delivers more for the money than the 185DV. Both are great unit in their own class when compared to the competition. Given Yomax's comment, you will see that if you compare the 185DV to the equivalent Diversion model, there really is no comparison. But again, I think the 200DV is the better "deal".
