Well gentlemen, I am please to say that there is no water in my oil, or oil in my radiator. The problems that I did notice is that my radiator is nothing but rust water, my air filter is so dirty and clogged that when I tap it onto my hand I get a coating of nothing but fine dirt and the PVC tubing on the valve cover is split down one end approximately 1 and a half inches down the tube. I also noticed that the radiator is missing the tube and the radiator reservoir. I am now on a mission to return this tractor to it's orginal working condition. Since it's obvious to me that the previous owner neglected to maintain this tractor I will be replacing all filters and fluids to make sure things are up to snuff, and attempt to flush out the radiator. BTW I did shine a light through the radiator on the exterior and the light did shine through, but I'm sure it could use some compressed air through it, as recommended, to clean out any debris or obstructions. It appears I have a few minor parts and repairs to do, hopefully the radiator is easy to unclog and flush, does anyone recommend a really good flushing method or product?

After this maintenance is completed I will begin to figure out why my fuel and temp gauges are not working, hopefully it's something as simple as a fuse. Thank you again everyone for all of your recommendations and advice. Thank god for forums like this and people like yourselves willing to help a fellow Jinma/tractor owner.

Never saw one with a coolant reservoir, so you can save yourself that headache - it just pees it on the ground when it thinks it has more than it can swallow. :) The tube just runs down the side of the radiator to below the bottom of it. I suppose you could add a reservoir, but I don't know if the radiator filler neck is designed to handle that. I think they have to be built so that the overflow can be sucked back in as the radiator cools and the cooling pulls a vacuum.

Sounds like you've got a mission at least. Best of luck with it!

Ok, thanks Rich I guess I thought there was a reservoir since I was also missing the overflow tube and I saw two small rings on the side of the radiator, now it makes perfect sense that those rings were only there for the overflow tube.

The "pee out the side" is older technology... my old Blazer had the same.

Very glad you've apparently found relatively minor problems to deal with, and that it wasn't as bad as I feared!

Please do keep us posted with progress; it's always interesting to gather info, and it just adds to more "experience," even if vicariously. WBB in NH

I fitted both mine with that cheap $10 coolant overflow kit that JC Whitney sells. Works just fine.

Flex -when you go to flush the rad there may be both a drain cock on the bottom of the rad and one at the back of the block. If you look at the back of the motor and see a handle with no apparent purpose that will be it:p.

Good to know that the coolant overflow kits will work on these tractors - thanks for sharing that. They're probably a good idea and I may put one on mine someday, so I can have something else to knock off in the bush. (grin)

Thanks Rich, I'll check that out and drain that also for a complete and thorough flushing of the system.
