I could tell 4 were cracked by looking at them. The other two didn't leak till I put pressure on them. Good luck.

I inspected mine visually as close as I could... none obviously cracked, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Testing my ability to add photos.

If this works, it's a picture of the oil cooler.

I hope that works for others to see, I've had issues with the app on my phone letting me easily download photos to photobucket, and haven't shared pictures in months. It detracts from the viewers experience quality, I feel, and I like to share to the best of my ability. I prefer the full size view that posting the embedded image via photobucket allows, but this will have to do for now.

Not feeling too good today, but did manage to get motivated enough to get the oil pan installed. Cleaned everything up, and used the factory Motorcraft RTV gray silicone to glue the dipstick adapter to the pan and the pan to the block. Also sealed up the HPOP drive bolt cover with the same RTV, as that's how it comes from the factory. You gotta work quick, there's about a 5 minute window from the time it comes outta the tube until it starts setting up. But d@mn does that stuff stick! As long as the surfaces are clean (oil free), once it sets up, it won't come off without a grinder! I'll leave it upside down over night, to keep any oil inside from possibly contaminating the RTV, but that's one more thing sealed up.

Still feeling crappy, fighting a fever... Kids sick too, 3yo kept mama up all night, what a nice mothers day...

But I've been down to the barn anyway... up pipes on, intake spider in place, wiring harness in place and hooked up.

Sorry to hear of your health issues Greg. As long as you have kids in the house you will be exposed to every virus known to man......

Just so you have something to look forward to,,,,, I haven't had the flue in 20 years, haven't had a cold in 5 1/2 years. I think it's because I'm healthy. Wife says it's because I have an isolationist lifestyle. :confused3:

Lol Richard... with a baby due this August, I've got 18+ years before the youngest is out of the house, and by then, I expect we will be over run by grand-youngins! I'm doomed! Fortunately, I'm generally in good health, and my affliction has been limited to fever, whereas others in my family have had much more unpleasant issues to deal with as well.

On a side note, I'm half way thru my first 12 hour night shift at my new job... and tired as he11!

Not much progress, little details to deal with. The last fuel lines from the fuel bowl to the frame flex lines have been cleaned up, painted, and installed. A fitting to take place of the AIH (Air Intake Heater) in the intake spider was bought (oil drain plug for 1970-1985 BMW Dorman p/n 65223) to fit the 22mm x 1.5 threads, and drilled/tapped in the center to 1/8 NPT for a boost gauge fitting.

I'm just about ready to take the motor off the stand to get the clutch/flywheel assembled.
