Good Afternoon Guys,
Got the front and back roof shingled, the chimney partially installed and I roughed in the wiring on the first and second floor.

Its starting to come together !

Also framed in the stairway opening to the second floor...

Good Morning Guys,Some updated photos. Got the windows in and used the back blade on the tractor to scrape and grade a swale around the backside of the addition and side for drainage. I think I have it pretty close to being right.

The inside stairs are in and Im going to have someone else do the insulation, really dont want to do that job ! Once thats done I will put up the V groove pine. In the mean time Im planning on putting down some green slate for the rear entryway and under the woodstove.

I also put in a little side walk on the back side with some brick and bluestone that I had. Also put in drainage for the gutters along that long wall, its buried so I dont know if you can see it in the pictures.

Good Morning Eddie,
Yes still our weekend home but we are spending a lot more time their these days ! Kathleen is still working in Ct, and she really does not want to leave our boys, even though they are 32 and 31 She is still thinking grand children at some point !

I borrowed my buddies wet saw, so after I finish the green slate, I will take a few pictures of that...

Good Morning Guys,
We are making some progress. A friend of mine gave me enough green slate to do my entryway and the area under the site where the wood stove will be located. The only problem with free was that all the 8 3/4" square tiles had mastic residue which I had to use my angle grinder on to remove that mess !
So I used my bucket on the tractor as a workbench, had to get the tractor in this thread !

I would not want to lay slate for a living, its kind of tough on the knees ! The job seemed to come out pretty good, considering I have never done that before !

I also finished all the wiring in of plugs and switches, and lighting fixtures. I bought some high intensity gimballed lights for the corners of the room, one for the wood stove and the other corner will have some type of bistro table, to be determined by Kathleen.

I am throwing in a bonus shot of a nice sunset !
