They're still limited to like 4 ft box blades and tillers, but I mean it's fine. Dudes use these commercially, some of them post here. But really, these are marketed to homeowners with a few acres. I plow with it, manage downed trees, clear out brush, haul this or that, haul away debris, dig out stumps, stuff like that.

As one of the commercial users of a SCUT, the machine itself is a huge (pun intended) part of my businesses success. I can go all the places the bigger machines can’t. That along with the extremely low ground impact is huge.

And it does all the tasks I need on our 6 acre farmette.

To some degree the operator is more important than the equipment used. That's not to say that people should hire a teaspoon when they need a shovel.

Yup, there's a dude I follow on youtube, Louisiana Tractorworks, and he also uses the heck outta his GC for commercial work. These are capable machines.

Had time to kill 2 weeks ago while waiting on a truck repair and drove a loaner around just asking prices. No haggling just asking. Not sure if these were 2022 or 2023, no accessories:

- Kubota BX23S - $24,500 @ 0% for 60 months; $450 cash discount
- MF GC1723EB - $23,000 @ 0% for 60 months; $500 cash discount
- NH Workmaster 25S - $23,500 @ 0 for 36 months; $1500 cash discount
- Mahindra Emax 20S - $21,341 @ 1.49% @ 60 months; $800 cash discount

It just seems like the hoe and FEL are so over sized on the small tractor for the amount of capacity you get out of it.
I have a GC2610TLB. I would have loved to have gotten the next size larger but nearly 50% more money. I'm on one acre of all gravel and easily fill the hoe most of the time. I've actually made my own loader bucket that is 50% wider and 8" taller to plow snow. Luckily, it turned out to be the perfect size for this task as it can just lift an oversize load of very wet snow. It cut my plowing time in half.

Nice research. It's kind of what I figured, but I never took the time to do the work that you did. Those costs are all close enough that I doubt price alone is going to make the decision.

Oh wow, can't speak for the other 2, but looks like Kubota and Massey jacked up that pricing since 2018. What's JD's 1023 currently at? I bet like $27k or something.

Yep! I live in cottage country and I've done jobs with my little B2620 Kubota where they have paid me $60 per hour while my $220,000 dump truck was making $70/hour, LOL

Jobs such as rebuilding shore front retaining walls and back filling where it was required to travel over their finished lawns carrying material while doing no turf damage.

Yep, find the dealer that treats you the best and has the best service.

Yanmar SA425 $20,000 you might even be able to get it for less than that if since inventories are starting to get back in shape.

And it is a compact.

Having operated the SCUD tractors, they do have a place for many; but I for one would not spend the latest asking price for one. If I lived in the city I would rent as opposed to buying as the use can't be much on a city lot. Also, I see more used 23's with backhoe attachment than any other used SCUT, all for sale too. My Kubota salesman says they break easily.

Obviously I have no need to lift round bales or run a baler so my little tractor does the job here, LOL
I have a 95hp Utility, 47hp Utility and 24hp SCUT. wouldn't get rid of any. They all earn their spot in the shed. :)

I find tiny tractors to be cute and that is about it. I have no use for any of them

If you are working on a D9 Cat you use one set of tools. If you are working on a Ford Ranger, you use a different set of tools. If you repair fine watches, you use yet another set of tools. Different tools for different jobs. One set of tools might be "cute," but you couldn't use the other tools for the job they are intended to do,

I think he uses the Challenger for residential lawns, don't be ridiculous 😆

Edit: wait that's @Hay Dude that mows residential lawns with his Challenger.
