Definately not Rayco! I am pretty sure that the machine is made in Canada. I did run the prototype for about 10 minutes and it was impressive. I know they have made several changes from the one I ran. I hope to have one ASAP. The rocks are killing me out here. I had to have a kidney transplant at lunch today! Hope the suspended track will help that.

Why I want a suspended track mulcher. Rubber tracks need not apply. It is brutal, this is from a few days ago believe it or not it is worse now. The rocks are no bigger but I am on a hill now!

The logo sure does say that but my dealer said different. Who knows...heck who cares if it is a good mulcher I will run it anyway.

What does that do to the teeth ? I would think that the rocks are tearing it up bad $$.

Supertrak uses the same Cat engine (4.4) in their modified 287 according to the website. The Fecon "looks" like a lot more machine than a 287B. But Chevrolet put 454's in Corvettes as well as dump trucks so I guess it's how you "use" it huh? Just an observation.

I have hit a few rocks but no broken teeth yet. The job does not require me to grind everything all of the way down. The guy understands that you can not grind very well in that stuff. Folks out here are pretty smart about our business. The major issue is that the trees are laying on the ground with the limbs ground off where they are not a wildfire issue.

Suspended tracks look like they will help but you are still going to take some punishment on rocks like those. Maybe big tires would be the way to go...

Geoboy makes a nice rubber tired tractor for mulchers. I think a excavator might help for your up higher and you can manuver(sp) around the rocks better. Either way it looks like a tough job. If that tractor is made in Canada I will find out. I know a few people who work up there and have seen it ALL. But it does look extremely purpose built.

In all honesty the rocks are not the problem and the hills are not the problem. Put the rocks on the hills and then I have a problem. I really do wish I had an excavator for this segment of the job. I am moving towards another very steep section. I will jump out and take a few more pictures this afternoon.
