Easier said than done when the zerk is recessed and the tip & your fingers are covered with grease. :(
Been meaning to get a L&L, one of these days...
DO get the L&L, even though it may seem expensive for what it is, you will find it to be a very worthwhile item!

Totally agree; thought I’d never pay as much for a L&L as I did for the whole gun but the ‘adjustable’ fitting on my new gun didn’t work worth a flip so I got the L&L. Zero regrets and it fits all my recessed zerks.

Oaktree, I have a 3054xs and the L&L tip will not fit into the zerk recesses on the loader {KL1231}, gave mine away

Odd, I have a LK30 with a KL1231 and I greased yesterday all the Zerks, including the recessed ones on the loader. It fits snug, but it fits. Same for my KB2376 backhoe.

Strange, it would definitely not fit into the recesses on my loader. The loader is the same model, but newer than my '04 3054, as the LK30 is an updated tractor from the 3054; same basic tractor with a different engine. Perhaps they increased the size of the recesses on later loaders? I ended up purchasing a DeWalt cordless electric grease gun that solved my issue

May be, like I said, they were snug fit. I had cleaned the recessed Zerks from grease and contaminant before I greased them. It sucks that they couldn't fit on yours. It was so easy to grease my tractor Thursday, it was almost child's play. Push the tab, push the L&L in, let go the tab, pump, push the tab, pull the L&L. The only ones that gave me trouble where two of the loader's bucket recessed Zerks (same one on each side). The L&L inserted well but couldn't push the grease in (the L&L didn't disconnect, which is good). Had to raised the bucket, then they were easy to grease.

Mine has a KL1230 loader, any idea what the difference is between it and the 1231?

Here's the manual for my KL1231. If you have yours, you can compare the specs and functionnality between both

Major difference seems to be about 400 lb more lift capacity on the 1231. Different lift cylinders maybe? Specs on them were a little vague on the 1231 manual.

i stay away from elect grease guns. i dont want to over grease my stuff. get tired of cleaning all the excess grease off of it.
How to do clean the grease? Do you remove the excess grease after greasing or later on? If later on, how do you scrape it off? My new to me tractor had loads of old grease in the zerks and over the joints. I'm currently using a flat head screw driver that I gently rubs against the joints and twist around the recessed zerks to get as much grease as possible. I avoid using degreaser there because well, it's a degreaser and I don't want any to seep in the joints so I simply rub a cloths around the joints to remove as much old grease as possible.
