FEL Quick Dump

   / FEL Quick Dump #31
The far right position on the valve with regen, is the fast dump and will fast dump when it is selected.

NO load, full load, what ever, regen will dump fast or is supposed to.

ON some Kubota valves, the regen is in the first part of lever movement, and power dump is to the far right.

Power dump on the Mahindra is first half of lever movement to right.

Some loader valves do not have regen, but your manual should indicate whether it does or does not. This is a Cross loader valve.

Directional valve / control / manually-operated - 15 gpm, 3 000 psi | DV - Cross Manufacturing

I contacted Cross this afternoon. I told them how my loader is slower, slow and slower with nothing that reminds of a "fast dump". I was told that the scv is acting normally in that it prevents cavitation from drawing out fluid too fast. Shift, the answer you received from Dubay's service manager may have been correct. They may put the same decal on everything.

Even that it states this valve has "regen," surely they jest.

My 115 loader on the 3016 coincides with Shift's assessment. There is no fast dump on mine either. Will have to let them check it out as well. Since it was this way from when I first got the tractor, my feeling was that this is "normal" since I had nothing to go by. According to JJ, something is off on this scv.

mine too.

The 115 is just progressive with the lever. That is normal. They are faster than most of the other loaders Mahindra offers

This goes for all Max and 16 series

According to Cross Hydraulics who seems to provide the scv's for the 16 series, there is no true regen with this control or I should say no regen as we know it. The bucket speeds up a bit but that is all. Apparently, this is considered "regen" by Cross. I was told this protects the cylinders from cavitation and is considered normal operation for the DV series Cross control.

Cross DV series directional control loader valve offers extremely low leakage with outstanding load holding capability in a compact, space saving size. All ports
come out the same surface of the valve and it will fi t in a space less than 6” wide. Float and Regen* capabilities, load checks, built-in power beyond and single handle
actuator make this valve ideally suited for the mobile loader market. DV mounts with 2 mounting holes on bottom surface.
*Regen Capability: valve internally routes additional fl ow to cylinder for faster lift / action.
Specifi cations:
• 2 spool (fl oat – 1st spool, Regen* or 4-way,3-pos – 2nd spool)
• 8-10 gpm, 15 gpm, ¾-16SAE inlet / outlet / work ports
• Built-in Load Check Valves
• Adjustable Poppet Relief Valve
• Built-in Power Beyond capability
• Single Handle Actuator (Joystick)
• Parallel Operation with Excellent spool metering

Look at your model number as the last two do not have regen.

That may explain why the Kabota tractor I was considering when I bought my Mahindra had a half GPM less flow than the Mahindra, but the cycle times on Kabota loader were Half the times on the Mahindra. Undoubtably kubota has a much better use of flow. The Mahindra did have a little more lift, but not enough to have half the cycle times.

   / FEL Quick Dump #38
If you have the same flow going into the same cyl, no matter which tractor, the cycle time should be the same.

More lift could be attributed to the set relief pressure on each tractor.

Unless the mahindra uses a larger cylinder. That would give more lift at a slower speed

I gave my loader manual a read thru last night and found that a regen mode is indicated in the usage instructions. The wording is a lil wonky to me, so maybe someone can decipher.

These are the 2 pages were the regen mode is mentioned.
