Your document explains the regen quite well and illustrates the same.

I copied your pages for reference.

Thanks.

Like I said, there are four models of that valve as to regen and GPM. You could have any one of the four.

I gave my loader manual a read thru last night and found that a regen mode is indicated in the usage instructions. The wording is a lil wonky to me, so maybe someone can decipher.

These are the 2 pages were the regen mode is mentioned.

Does your regen work like it should?

Do you really have a fast dump?

That's where I'm unsure. It says I do, but I've never been able to "find" it.

I've always been under the impression that it just wasn't there, but these pages are now making me doubt myself again. I haven't been able to try the method it describes just yet... maybe tonight, definitely this weekend. I'll be sure to post back when I do.

If you move your lever slow enough to the right you will find a point to were is pauses... not fully stopped but slows down a lot. then when you go further right it will go fast... its not noticeably faster than the first speed so your tractor is operating normal.

It is certainly not much faster than normal dump (which is really slow). I found it telling in the description Shift provided that use of regen eliminates cavitation and thus bucket will have reduced or have eliminated "free movement". I thought that was the purpose of "regen" so as to free up the cylinders so the bucket WOULD move more freely and dump faster. That tells me the valve is designed so total diversion of flow is not attainable. The description further states that valve hook up must be correct to attain regen. How do you mess that up? All bucket movements correspond to the descriptive use of the bucket so where could an incorrect hookup be if the bucket is functioning as it should?

JJ, thanks for your insight and on singling out the possibilities with this scv.

Using regen, you should almost double the speed as the pump flow and the rod end flow is now gong to the base end of the cyl.

If you creep the lever to the right, past the soft stop, it might not seem fast, but if you slam the lever to the far right, you should see a big difference.

The regen is not only there to stop the cavitation, and floppy bucket, it will do a fast dump, because you are almost doubling the flow to the base end of the cyl.

Ok, I'm going out to the machine now. I can't say I've ever "slammed" the lever to the right but I'll try that when i'm out there.

Shift, I'd want JJ with us for the "slow bucket club" meeting. He deserves a drink or two. Only problem is that I don't thick he'd be willing to come up from Jacksonville to sunny West Greenwich or Foster to visit the Woodland Meeting House even if they do make a great pizza.
