Well, it seems my best option is to learn to love the $#@&$%#! Smart Phone. I'll watch a few YouTube tutorials and see how things work out.
Thanks for all of your replies,

Your phone will probably have more information on the item than their employee.

Just don't look for dimensions you can rely on. I've seen too many items where the dimesnions are clearly for the package, not the item. I was looking for a thickness of some flashing material, either in gauge, or decimal. They listed it as something like 6"

That could be reworded to read:

Your smart phone will have more information than dumb employees.

As to unmarked or wrong prices do as my wife,
Bring to the cash (where they scan it) and refuse if at wrong price or more than U were willing to pay.
Someday they might get the hint.

I was in Lowe’s a few weeks and it seemed half the lumber did not have prices.

In my area all the Lowe’s and Home Depot’s have help wanted signs. It seems customer service is getting worse and worse as businesses cannot find workers.

In my small town a restaurant that has been opened for 50 plus years closes at 4:00 because they cannot find enough people to work the night shift. Local fast food places have closed early because of a lack of workers.
Why work when you can get more on a government handout.

Another round of Stimulus will help those poor people that chose not to go to work.

I can’t imagine someone’s life if a $1400 stimulus check keeps you from taking a job.

Then again, I can’t imagine an adult working full time at a minimum wage job.

If $1400 represented a month of income @$10/hour, then time will be running out and folks will flood the workplace.

Around here seems all restaurants are pretty full and they have lots of folks working.

Even hard to get nurses at $40+ an hour...

Many of the older ones decided a good time to retire and a surprising number of younger nurses opting for 3/5 or 4/5 employment which keeps benefits in place...

I was going through a fast food drive thru, and there was an advertisement to "work today, get paid tomorrow."

They pay their employees daily for their previous day's work. I suspect this is an indicator of the difficulty that they have in finding employees.

I thought you were going to say the sign read “I’ll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today”!

I’m guessing they also pay in cash.

The smartest thing I do with my iphone is leave in in my company truck for the weekend. If I'm going to order online I'm not driving 50 miles to pick it up; it's getting delivered to my house. USPS, UPS, and FedEx are glad to oblige.

I didn't ask, by my guess would be an electronic direct deposit. Cash is getting to be rather "old school."

But - how many fast food workers have bank accounts? Maybe I’m too old school and you can electronically deposit money to some other online thingy?

My guess is they credit a debit card nightly. The cards are given to new hires on day one.

Lowes sucks anymore. I remember when they annoyed you constantly asking if they could help you. Last two times I needed assistance there was no one around so I called the store and asked them to send someone to my area. No one showed both times. My second call informed them that I was next to the vacant desk for that area and I was about to start paging for help myself and I loved sarcastic humor. Help showed up quickly.

Went to Walfart with my son and daughter in law to get a tv. A couple was waiting at the electronics desk when we got there, they said no one had showed up even after numerous request. A friend of theirs rolled up on the store scooter and asked if they were still waiting on help. He told them he would get some help. He starts screaming HELP as loud as he can. Five employees and numerous patrons come running. It was hilarious.

And in most places it may be quite a bit smarter too! :)

I can't remember the last time I paid cash for anything. Maybe years.

I always look up the items online and note the price and location before going to the store. Saves a lot of wasted time looking in aisles more or less at random. HD is very good about the items being where the website says. Lowes not so good. In recent months I haven't had any problems finding an employee on the very rare occasions I need one.

Ace Hardware is far and away the best for customer support. There is a huge store in Woodland, 5x the size of most their stores. Exceptionally well lit and signed, with many employees ready to help.

Why work when you can get on the govt. gravey train. In my area there are help wanted signs every where. Yet homeless line up for a hand out. And yes many business are cutting back on hours or closing one day a week because no one wants to work.

I also have the S20 and really like it. It replaced the S5 that worked great for about 6 years.
I still have an S4  I'm looking to update as I have about 3-4 apps that no longer work on the Android version it has. I think I paid $400 for it years ago from BH Photo. I looked at the local Cricket store and she thought a Samsung A12 might fill the bill. I like that it's less than $200. Downside is Samsung puts so much bloatware on it that you often can't remove completely.

Me too - except last Thursday morning when I go to get gas and my card is rejected. I call the cc company and am told they canceled my card as suspicious activity was detected.

Luckily I had cash but had to go inside, pay a fixed amount, go back out and pump, go back in and get change and go back to my car.

By the way, my cc company was fantastic. They ID’d 3 fraudulent charges, rejected the charges, canceled the card and Fedex’d me a new card by Friday at 4pm. Citi MasterCard.

One of the fraud charges was $.77 (cents!) to a dentist located in a city 260 miles away. What’s that about?
