I said the pluses of a stamped deck. They are one piece that's GOOD AIRFLOW and good durability!!! Another member also stated why stamped decks were better. Go to you local JD dealer and they will tell you the same thing Nomad.

Yes I have seen the new Deere tiller they look good....they are different from the tillers sold by others....Like anything Deere sells....they are heavier and have features not found on other tillers. and one thing for sure parts and service on Deere branded tillers should be number #. Prices are also less than the models they replaced.

Only a JD dealer? I guess representatives/dealers of many other big finish mower companies too will tell the same thing. I have no objection on constructional strengths/quality like durability, etc - but "good airflow"? This still requires further discussions. Ps: if there is still anyone not tired of technical discussions, here is nomad;-)

Ps: Re: Egon, in other thread, you ask who is the first engineer? a saying here:
- you the owner of this
- you the owner of that
- who/where is the first owner of them?
(once we find this first owner, then we can easily find the first engineer;-)

Woods... Interesting...who knows what may happen. Woods manufactures quality products and I'am sure will continue.

Frontier/Woods relationship...I'am sure like any professional relationships there are contractual agreements. What happens next is anyones guess.

The new man in charge of Woods is the Past VP of Marketing for Deere.

I have a 6ft Bush Hog brand and have been completely satisfied with it. Well constructed easy to operate, easy to adjust height, flex good so no scalping noted. Negetative comment is it is somewhat noisy.

So what? People here also wondering how this will effect your profit share of import products by CCM. Similarly, they also wonder if CCI will still be able to sell Turkay Tillers under CCI private label. Or, will its new trade name be "Grizzly" the natural Agri-Supply'er like it happened to hay rakes imported from G.... ? I don't wonder, because I am wonderFull;-0

I don't think so....TISCO is only major competitor remaining in the aftermarket parts business...A&I continues to grow..competitve pricing and growing selection..We all know it takes $$$$ to grow.

Who knows possibly its another example of former employee wanting to compete with former employer....9 x's out of 10 a mistake....

In this case A&I is larger than TISCO so the former employee of TISCO must have done something correct. Dutchmen are smart traders and even been known to out fox other Dutchmen.
How is business in the Up State of SC? I hope you had a record year.
