What size hyd motor did you choose. Pin count on sprocket, hyd flow and pressure, for your saw.

I have some questions for you guys, again

What do you think the thickness of the wedge need to be ? I want a 4 and 6 way wedge. Do you think 3/4 for the vertical wedge and 1/2 for the
horizontal blade is enough? I like this design:

All the wedge that I see on the commercial processor seem relatively "thin" ,Like 3/4 " max .

Also do you think that the splitting push plate need wear pad, like teflon or something else?
Or metal on metal is okay?

I made my wedge of 20mm material.

Plasma gouging is the easiest. Wheel grinding is a pain...

I think I have no choice to bought one for this project... I even consider forging the blade, if you can make a sword why not a wedge

Easiest way to sharpen the wedge is turn the metal up on it edge and torch it toward the wide part. I use my home made track torch and clamp the steel plate to the end of my table with the narrow edge turned up. Set the torch on a angle i want and then just cut. I mark a line where I want the flame to exit the plate and just watch the flame. 5min with a grinder to clean it up and its a knife edge.
