Tractor
want a tw30 2wd , nh-8870 2wd or puma 195 2wd
What would you buy first with your first tractor ?.

Narrowered it down to 2 things A disc harrow or rotary mower

Been searching tractor house for disc 10-20ft for under 5k.
International 37 tandem in 12 ft or a ford disc harrow etc .

Now as far as the mower i could see going higher in price 10k-15k
Bushog 3210 or 4215 model .

Was thinking besides mowing large grass fields i could see if the local farmers want someone to mowe their water ways .
or buy a disc and help the local farmers harrow, from what i hear they need some workers

I think I would go for the implement that yielded the most $ per year from its use. Ken Sweet

For me it would be the FEL if the tractor didn't come with one. If the tractor comes with the FEL, then its a toss up. Why are you buying the tractor?

Some people make money with a Bushog. A harrow not so much, I think.

if you have an immediate need for mowing, and are buying one implement at a time.. then get a mower. add implements as money provides.. or as needed.
my first implement was a box blade.. got it cheap ( 100$ ) beside the road ont he way home from work, the same week i bought my tractor. keep yer eyes peeled for deals.

For your own uses, figure what you will use most often. For business purposes, learn your market. Do your research and know prices and expected quantity of business plus the expected competition. What are the chances you could buy your mower and then find another farmer who might share a harrow with you. A harrow doesn't normally get repeated use throughout the season and a shared implement might be a good way to go.

I know hay farmers who cant spel aflaafla.?Yes hay is what i want to do after college maybe.

Plus i love the sound a bushhog makes.Havnt seen the 3210 or 4215 upclose.though i have seen that some people around here have the 3210.But most people dont see the need for large rigid mowers or large rigid 3 point mowers. Also looked at the schulte fx210 but the pto specs werent listed on the website .I dont see why i cant just use a adapter on a 540 pto mower as long as the gearbox is rated for high hp . I here that the rpm's arent the reason the 1000 pto mowers are different speeds but rather different torque input/output setting or "gearz"

I wouldn't run a 540 mower on 1000 rpm. and the 1000 rpm mowers have a heavier input shaft. you don't see much above 90 hp input on a 540 shaft... IE.. light and medium duty 15' mowers and down.

I have a JD 1520 I pull with my NH 7610s.. I got it specifically because it had the 540 rpm setup and I was too cheap to buy the 300$ 1000 rpm pto shaft for my NH.. :)

I got my first implement 2 years before I got a tractor. It was a new KingKutter XB boxblade and used it on my Grandpa's Little JohnDeere to grade my driveway and dig up his horse arenas. With all the jobs ive done with it, it is worth its weight in gold. Anyway, If i were you, I'd get whichever implement would be most cost ettective for you and pay for itself better.
