- BX2370 60" MMM with bagger, BX5450 Front mount Blower, soft cab, 48" Brush hog, Several Gravely's, Lots of Land Rovers, Best wife EVER!!
Hi all,
I've been lurkin this site for a few years, but this is my first official post. I've wanted to buy a Kubota tractor for a few years, I just haven't pulled the trigger. I've pretty much decided on this setup:
Kubota 2670 with FEL, MMM and possibly grass catcher. I have ~ 3 acres of mixed land, some is lawn, some overgrown field and some wetlands (read: swamp) I also have a 400' driveway which needs to be clear of snow ( lots of snow this winter). What I need to know from all you owners is the following:
1. How good is the 54" Fine Cut MMM? I don't have a golf course lawn, but it is lawn, I need a mower that works like a real lawnmower.
2. What about the grass catcher, I've read all I can on this unit and the opinion seems to be mixed. Here in the NorthEast we do have a lot of leaves that need to be cleaned up. I saw one thread where someone suggested that I buy a rake for $10 instead of a Tractor For $18K.
The machine would be used for a variety of tasks, primarily mowing the lawn and clearing the driveway, but also for hauling wood and other wheelbarrow type tasks.
I currently have a great setup of a Wheelhorse 314-8 tractor with a 48" deck, powered grass catcher, 42" single stage snowblower, cab, wheel weight and chains. It has been a great machine for 16 years, I just want something that can do a little more. The FEL will be a big help as I'm not as young or as strong as I was. I also have a couple of Gravely 2 wheel tractors that I use for brush hogging the big stuff.
I welcome any advice you folks can give me.
Cheers,
Byrdnyrd
