First Time Plowing with BX23

Joe,

The plow on the BX is actually pretty big for the size of the machine.

Plus if your plowing heavy wet snow it builds up a lot of weight
in front of the machine.

I have a B2910 which I'd guess weighs at least 1000lbs more
than the BX sans backhoe. The front blade Kubota makes for
that is only 60 inches.

That to me is too small.

I'm making a 6' plow for mine.

I suspect the lower they make that frame the more it transfers
weight to the back of the machine.

Regards,
Chris

I paid $425 for the quick hitch and $800 for the angle blade with skid shoes when I bought the machine oritingally, so far I love it, everything works just the way I guess it should.

I am anxious to see how much snow it pushes. I agree that it probably won't push 2' of heavy snow and I will have to venture out in big storms for a few passes, but by and large, storms here are 4, 5, 6 inches, more a nuisance than anything and I believe that running a blade up and down will be way faster than snow blowing for the majority of snow falls.

I always had a walk behind snow blower that did a great job but it felt like it took forever.

Also, the blade was cheaper than the blower, that did weigh in on the decision.
